Malchik Posted October 9, 2003 Share Posted October 9, 2003 If you're up in the stealth skills you can get decent weapons by breaking into various storerooms and vaults. Go first on foot from Gnisis to Ald Velothi and find the lady in Distress (Selyne Jenrette or something like that). Once you have found her ring you'll get the Amulet of Shadows which helps no end when breaking and entering (and creeping up on potential victims). Pob Posted October 9, 2003 Share Posted October 9, 2003 To be honest half the fun of the game is that intial struggle, if it was too easy then there would be no satisfaction and no sense of acheivment when you do get good stuff/really hard. It makes for a better game. Maybe you should be pateient and go quetsing to get stuff. I got a set of bone mold when I got to Balmora and kept it between levels 3/4 through till about 20 (though I did get one or two better bits). If you really want to get the good stuff go for it, but for me it ruins any sense of character development (I remeber how excitied I got when I got my first bit of ebony!) tmons78 Posted October 9, 2003 Share Posted October 9, 2003 I agree with Pob. I remember that the first set of armor I ever got was the lowly Iron curaiss. I wore that thing for a few levels, until I went into my first Dwemer ruin. In there I found the Dwemer curaiss, and wore that until I finally got some of the good stuff. I actually never had a full set of armor (well, not heavy at least and that was my preference) until I finally got my first set of ebony (which was great). Finally getting that ebony made the wait well worth it. So, just rough it until you gain a few levels, and by the time you do actually get something good, your skill level should be high enough to make it that much better. romeoalpha42 Posted October 9, 2003 Author Share Posted October 9, 2003 well yall are talking about the excitement and all and only marxist here is answering questions. bonemold? please.. with the tribunal expansion dark brotherhood rules for a good amount of time, but i just got out of ashalmawia or whatever with ebony stuff and i find that if you goto one of the ash cult places in the north section they got the bell hammer which does 50 or so damage which is real nice for me. anyhew i still cant find the ibar-dad cave and i got the boots of blinding speed and amulet of levitating so i can cover ground quite well at level 12 now. but thats the whole point. it was a thrill to go into the ash whatever place and see the tendril faced wierdo and all the corpus and ash dudes. it was like a horror movie, cant wait for dagoth ur.. but my final question on this post is where can i find an enchanted item that has constant effect shielding wether elemental or plain shield? if there is any...
