PaulMcGann
Is there any way for the player/party members to access the armors you see being worn by NPCs, but are never available in shops or drops? Is there something preventing these armors from spawning in any way? And would we be able to get rid of the thing preventing it? I've seen some awesome armors on NPCs, made me kind of jealous I'm stuck with two basic styles per armor type. Does it bother anyone else that warriors used to get massive armors, and now the heaviest we get is some weird scale mail jackets?
GrimmPrince
You can wear any armors that are able to be worn by using cheat engine. When it comes to heavy armors I like the Grey Warden armor best  Never Mind  Edited February 9, 2015 by GrimmPrince
PaulMcGann
Sigh. Grimm, you're really not getting any of my inquiries, are you?
hypnoboggled
I would also like to be able to wear some of the armour sported by npcs. I particularly like some of the Elven mage wear that you see on the elves at Redcliffe and the leather armour worn by Elves in The Exalted Plains. This might fit in with my Mesh swapping mod idea. If the armours are already in game, perhaps they could replace some of the inquisitor armour, which is very boring.
PaulMcGann
Agreed. Is that possible, Hypno? I, for one, would be all about wearing Cullen's armor.
Darkrogue21
I'd like to throw my hat in for this, I'm running a female Lavellan at the moment and I am in love with the Keeper coat the multiplayer NPC wears (I prefer the long coat style to the short armour like the other elven stuff) I'd also like to see some of the stuff fashioned from the DLC contents (like the fancy Arms of the River Dane set, beautiful!) I'm sure it's possible since the meshes and textures are all there...
hypnoboggled
I have tried using Cheat engine to try some of the multi-player armours but they don't show up in game for some reason. The Elf armour I would particularly like is worn by a female elf wandering the garden in Skyhold. It looks like mage armour to me and has a long, split coat in nice shades of green, as well as a bit of chain mail and the efly bare feet boots. The other armour I would quite like to wear is the one the Knight Enchanter trainer is wearing.

I tried using Cheat Engine for some armor too, but came up with the same result. (I wanted to use the one-pauldron'ed version of the mercenary armor that Dennet wears, or Cullen's armor.) From what I read way back when, the DAI tools people have been working on mesh swapping and it looks eventually possible but they ran into some road blocks. naterater
I would love to wear Morrigan's armor on a human or elf female.
