Prospero101
I need to find a space big enough for a small-ish town (five to six buildings plus a church) in the vanilla Mojave. It needs to be in the Mojave for both story reasons and because I have neither the time nor the skill to create a new worldspace for it. Unfortunately, the sheer magnitude of the WastelandNV worldspace means I've been combing through it for a couple hours with no luck. Does anybody have any recommendations of places I can stick this town? Alternatively, I could stick it in a cave somewhere, but I'd really rather it be a part of the Mojave. TheManTheyCallAsher
I don't know of any specific locations, but perhaps it's worth experimenting with verticality (if that's a word) in the design of your town. It might help you fit it in somewhere smaller if you can't find a big enough area for it.
RoyBatterian
Most of the locations in the world space have been used by some mod or another by now, other than the ones outside the normal area. it may be difficult for you to find a suitable location that doesn't conflict with something else. There is some spaces between novac and searchlight that really haven't been used a lot.

Prospero101
Cool! I'll scout those locations and get back to you. As for conflicting with other mods, honestly mods like A World of Pain and Warzones edit so freaking much of the Wasteland that working for compatibility with my silly little quest mod strikes me as more trouble than it's worth. I'm just going to pick a good spot and maybe work for compatibility if there's a massive uproar. My next question: Anybody know of a more efficient way to navigate the wasteland in the render window? Maybe by using coordinates or something?

Prospero101
Because it's full of cazadores? No one in their right minds would settle there. If I take out the cazadores it'll undermine what everybody says about the road north from Goodsprings. I would PERSONALLY love to erase all cazadores from existence, but being lore-friendly is a priority for me. I scouted a few locations between Novac and Searchlight, as well as stumbling upon an excellent dry lake bed near Crescent Canyon. I'll have to clear out the radscorpions and Nightstalkers, but unlike the cazadores they're not referenced in dialogue, so I think it's no great loss. madmongo
If I get some time, I might make up some world spaces for people to use as a modder's resource. If I were to do that, what sort of landscape are you looking for, anything in particular?
