Distand Land Error...

Switch

Recommended Posts

We've been testing the first town in Project Serpent as of late, and it turns out that if you turn Distand Land on, the result is this:

Basically, it seems that a chunk of distant terrain has kindly lodged itself in the centre of the town. I seem to recall when others have had this problem that they had to raise the normal terrain above the faulty distant terrain. Is there another solution? I think the exterior builders would much rather not have to move the whole town upward. ^^;

Ok, well I know the problem: the game thinks that WH is just another part of distant land. We need to get it so that it isn't read as another part of the wilderness, that way distant land doesn't generate there. WE NEED HELP! IF YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT HOW TO FIX THIS PROBLEM, EVEN A SLIGHT IDEA POST IT! I tried generating local maps to no effect. Seriously, we need your help, because it is your mod. We may be making it, but the public is the ones who will be playing it. Worst case scenario, you guys are going to have to turn off you distant land, and we up the fog. You don't want that I'm sure. So once again, PLEASE POST REPLIES TO OUR CRY OF HELP!

Hmph... I'm sorry, I would if I only knew at leas a little about modding...

But what did you mean by local maps?

Can't you just create it as a sort of closed room with the sky above it? I dunno if it is possible, but in the mod Home, Moonshadow for example, there's a manequin room surrounded by walls, but you can stil see the sky above it.

Or just build in the cities like done in the original game...

Eventually one last clue:

Search the uploading section of this site or planet elderscrolls for a mod called huirur village or simmilar. This is a village, which is implemented in the free lands of the original game's world, next to I.C.. It does have no gates which will teleport you in, you can just walk through, so no open cities mod is needed. Maybe you could ask its builder for help...

Sorry again for not knowing much more (and for probably telling something you already knew, or that is completely wrong), but I hope that I could help at least a little bit...
