Brokkoli
Hello ! I am trying to edit an armor in blender (i am only removing existing parts, so nothing very complicated), however after doing so and exporting the file again it will show up as invisible ingame - meaning not only is the armor invisible but also the body parts its attached to. I am not sure what i am doing wrong as my experience with every programm involved is very limited =/Another note; the exported file does not look invisible when i open it with nifscope afterwards. IkeCoast
Did you rig the modified mesh? Have a look at these tutorials: http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Blender_import_and_export_armor_for_Oblivion Cheers!
razorpony
Open it in nifskope then under spells find "update all tangent spaces" and "remove bogus nodes". Run those two then resave the file and see if it works. If you removed parts of the armor then chances are you have bones in the mesh with nothing rigged to them anymore, thus "bogus nodes". DarJee
Before exporting your work in Blender, select all (press 'A' key) while in object mode, then import a valid skeleton.nif (usually in your meshes\character\_male subfolder).Set the option: import skeleton only + parent selected. After that, follow the instructions from razorpony.Keep in mind that unless you need to resize, rotate, scale or merge objects and meshes, many adjustments can be done without Blender, using only Nifskope. Brokkoli
One more question; If Id want to change breast size for a specific armor/clothing what steps would it take to do so ?Ive tried a few things with blender already but didnt get any results so far so i thought maybe one of you guys could help me out on this one =]Wouldnt it be possible to simply import both the upperbody.nif (old size, armor/cloth) and the femaleupperbody.nif (new size, blank body) and adjust the amor/cloth to the new breast size, finishing it off by removing the dublicate body/armatures ?Thanks again ! DarJee
I usually leave this task to others (like razorpony here, if I recall correctly he's done some really fine HGEC conversions in the past) because it's not a simple one. But if you're insterested, there are basic tutorials on the Construction Set wikihttp://cs.elderscrolls.com/index.php?title=Category:Modeling_TutorialsI woould start there. Brokkoli
I tried the lattice method a few times but I kinda mess up the breast instead of resizing it - This surely cant be the easiest way to do this stuff i guess ? =pIs there anything I should be aware of, like size of lattice/ exact position/ number of verticles/ etc. to make things smooth when doing these convertions ? - Thanks again everyone ! LFact
Visit kgtools.org. You can find stand-alone tools or Blender scripts for generating/applying lattices, mesh rigging, mending seams and some more. (Though you need to edit your armor manually if you find any 'error')

(Though you need to edit your armor manually if you find any 'error')Thanks for the link. I've already checked it out and it's a powerful tool indeed. I had some trouble finding a suitable version of Python to make it work (I've been successful with a regular - not portable - Python 3.3.5 installation and PyFFI 2.2.2). Dropping Lib and Scripts subfolders in the appropriate location, and editing the batch files to match the python executable name and path worked the magic.Last version of clothing converter crashed for me, version 0.89f works fine instead.
