NMM Won't Activate Some Mods

Once upon a time, I had Fallout 3 fully modded and working perfectly in union with NMM.

Then, everything changed when my hard drive failed.

I've finally gotten around to reinstalling all of my old mods, but NMM has a few problems with some of them. Mainly, http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/12056/? (NMC's Texture Pack for Fallout 3) and http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/14404/? (Fallout 3 - Reborn).

With NMC's mod, I only installed one of the four sizes, and with Reborn I downloaded each individual file, but NMM simply won't activate those files no matter how long I wait after hitting 'activate'.

I don't know what the problem would be with NMC Texture Pack, but Fallout 3 - Reborn needs to be installed manually, as it states in the ReadMe.

I will do that. Hate it when people make a mod and don't include installation instructions in the description... Especially if it needs to be installed manually, but then they have a download option for NMM...

When Nexus Mod Manager was made available, the Nexus added the "Download with manager" button to all the mods that were uploaded at that time, whether or not they could be installed with the Manager. There are quite a few that cannot be automatically installed.

Manual installation is part of the learning process for proper installation and maintenance of mods. If you don't know where the various files go, how can you possibly check to see if a mod was installed properly. You can also make changes to your game that do not require the complete installation of a mod. For instance, I am using various high resolution texture replacers that were developed for Fallout: New Vegas in my Fallout3 game.

And, I did not use NMM to install NMC's Texture Pack and it works perfectly in my game.

As for installation instructions, there is a button on the mod description page that links to the ReadMe. It is there so the ReadMe can be accessed before the mod is downloaded. The mod author makes this available for your convience.
