Windscion
Answer: not through steam workshop. Slightly more informative snswer: unpack zip (or rar) files into the Data directory under your Skyrim directory, then select them either in a mod manager or through the launcher (select 'Data Files' and click on mods to activate). Default Skyrim directory will be something likeC:\Programs Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\skyrimwhich is why I have a shortcut to C:\Programs Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common on my desktop. ZZZ02
You will need a tool like 7Zip to do this if you don't have one though: http://www.7-zip.org/ just set it to open with the program once you download a zip/Rar file and extract (or highlight and drag, same thing) the contents to the data files (in the area windscion mentioned) unless specified. have fun

bben46
That would be the 7zip program recommended for use in manual installations - OR, use a mod manager - there are several available, Nexus Mod Manager, Mod Organizer, Wrye Bash, TesModManager and a few others. The most popular are Nexus Mod Manager ( NMM) and Mod Organizer (MO) NMM is usually simpler for a neophyte to use, while MO has more features but supports fewer games. (NMM 17 games, MO 4 games) Both support Skyrim and whichever is usually a matter of personal preference - I suggest looking over both and choosing one to use for all mods. NMM - Available here: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/modmanager/?MO - here: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/1334/? micalov
NMM is usually simpler for a neophyte to use MO is simply not for everyone regardless of how intelligent they are or are not. ..before accusing a staff member of insulting someones intelligence and reporting them, you might want to actually want to make sure you know what neophyte actually means. A neophyte is some one who is new to the subject, in this case modding, it has absolutely nothing to do with intelligence.
