Custom Race NPC Crash

Howdy.

I did search Google, TESCSWiki and here before I started this thread, but to no avail.

I am currently working on a mod which I would like to include Drow NPCs. Now, I have managed to make the NPCs without a hitch. I am using Xenius's Race Compilation for the Drow, and as far as I can tell, I'm doing everything right (though obviously not, since it doesn't work). In a single session, I can create my NPC and add it into a cell without any problems. However, when I then go to test even the cell in-game, it crashes. When I then go back to the Construction Sit, I get an error about missing hair (it's using a custom hair mesh, though I'm not entirely sure which one. It's one of the ones that comes bundled with Xenius's Race Comp), and if I try to open the cell, the CS crashes. When I edit the NPC, the race has reverted to "VampireRace", and the eyes and hair have reverted to "NONE", though everything else is the same. At this point I can re-set these options and can load the cell in the CS without a hitch, though once I save and close, the cycle starts again. I know I must be doing something wrong, because I'm sure I have seen mods with custom race NPCs in them before, and therefor it must be possible, but I have no clue as to what I'm supposed to do.

Thanks in advanced for any help anyone can give.

Also, I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this, but the "Mod Troubleshooting" board seems to be more for existing mods.

Thanks for that, though that method seems to be a little too complicated for what I'm trying to do. I'm sure it will come in handy in the future though.

I've already worked out how to create the races withing my own .esp, but I'm not sure how viable that is. I would assume it could work though, since I'm having no issues. It's just a bit of a hassle, and I'll have to make sure I have rights/permission do re-bundle aspects of other mods with my own.

Thanks again for you help.
