ObLars
Well, im currently making myself a "farming" mod. So far i got brahmin, bighorns that yield milk and meat and so forth, but i'd like to implement Farming aswell. Could anyone please post ideas on how this would work? Thanks :)
I337iB3
I have no idea how to add but I do love the idea, I would enjoy having personal livestock to attend to so I can have their resources.
ObLars
I have no idea how to add but I do love the idea, I would enjoy having personal livestock to attend to so I can have their resources. Exactly my thoughts. A life in the mojave desert is rough at the moment, adding multiple farming activities would make it a little more relaxing. Right now im working on making all Bighorns "milkable". I also created the Bighorner Bull which is bigger, more agressive, stronger. So now there are Calfs, Bighorns (Aka Cattle) And bulls. Cattle can be activated for milk once a day. And the milk extracted got a "pricey" value at 35 Caps a bottle. Cattle Yields 3 bottles a day which is 100 caps a day per Cattle owned (If milked). I haven't really worked out all the details yet... I also want to be able to buy more Cattle from Various NPC's throughout the Mojave, but like i said, havent really figured out all the details yet. myt01
Hmm, kay i would say you need tools.- a shovel- a bucket and maybe- a rake Next i would script a pile of "Bighorn-s***", wich spawns "fertilizer" every so much days. You´ll need "seeds" so you gotta add them or you´ll need to burry lets say a corncob if you wanna harvets mais. step one: "empty seed furrow"--------------------------------------------Now you use a seed-furrow with your shovel and bighorn-s*** to break up the soil. step two: "broke-up seed furrow"--------------------------------------------Now you can choose what to grow. I would do a menu with the seeds in your invetory. What do you want to grow? [Horsenettle] [Mais] [etc...] step three: "planted seed furrow"--------------------------------------------Last, a watersource that swaps your "empty bucket" with a "filled waterbucket". Water your plants and wait three days, step four: "harvest"-------------------------------------------é voilà! There is a empty "furrow" in the game and i guess you can make the othe three models in nif scope but it´s much work if you wanna do it for all plants. This is a pretty cool idea, It should come with some kind of cost tho, like some crops would require an "hydratation system" to be regularly fueled with purified water, So you still have to gather some supplies to keep it running. It has a potential to be a pretty fun mod to get away from the usual raiding, but it shouldn't become an "endless source of plants", There should be some sort of cost involved that makes it more convenient than hunting for bushes in the wasteland but also come at a price. Pure water isn't hard to come by with some of the bottle refilling mods out there, you usually only need to make a trip at the Goodspring sources, but it's still a cost, especially if you need a lot of it. wbrown2010
Modding wildhorn ranch would be the easiest. it has raised beds that could be used as a "campfire or workbench" for farming and that huge water supply. just needs a fenced in area for the livestock and the water to be purified. if you do decide do this could you add a work and reloading bench. also mod the fridge inside the house to have a door for storing food! it would be perfect!!
