Making Deathclaws and Fire Geckos friendly towards each other

I tried making a faction and adding them to it, using the original spawn marker template (aside from changing the faction tab)...

I'm trying to make them coexist without attacking each other... No idea how to do that.

Help is appreciated.

Thanks

Devlin

I did that. I made a customized faction, duplicated the spawn markers, added the faction into the duplicated spawn markers for both the deathclaws and the geckos, and they still attack each other.

Is there some other parameter that i need to set?

Here is what I did. I actually deleted everything and started over:

Created a VCR and VSPAWN for both geckos and Deathclaws. In both menus, I specified they are in the VaultFGECKODCLAW faction.

I then double clicked on the units individually and in the ownership tab, also again (third time) specified they are in the VaultFGECKODCLAW faction. I have put them in an area of the map where no other npcs are, the second I load my save I see them, and they immediately attack each other (still).

Really f***ing annoying. lol

This engine is retardedly redundant.

Did you edit the interfaction relation accordingly?

Make sure that for the geckos and deathclaws you add interfaction relationships to be allies with the opposite faction and make sure interfaction relations from other factions (like creature faction) do not have different settings. If everything goes wrong just delete all standard factions from the deathclaw and gecko and only add your faction.

By default deathclaws are only allies of other deathclaws.

Hmm. Pretty sure this is what I did... I'll double check.

Yup. I also found ANOTHER menu and set the factions to it as well, that being the fourth time I've had to tell the GECK they are friends... However I have a new issue:

They are friendly to me. I am not in their faction. Their names and my cursor on them in gold. They won't attack each other.... or me... If I set them to very aggresive they will attack each other and me, but I don't want them attacking each other, so i have to keep it on agressive... even though I've set in every menu for them to be in the same faction.

I created a VCR, which folds into VENC which then folds into VSpawn, all of the menus there and the faction menu are set to friendly. I don't see why they are either still attacking each other or not attacking anyone at all.

I honestly have no idea how anyone could make a platnium title with this editor. It's so buggy. And redundant.

Is there any faction that I can select that tells the GECK "if the faction isn't listed, it can be considered enemy?"

YES! FINALLY! I got it =)

You guys might think this is simple... maybe I'm retarded? I'm pretty good with computers seeing as how I work with them for a job?

idk... I think I expected this editor to be more "intuitive" than it is. Then again... being into computers I can understand why.

thanks fronze, albrecht those were the hints I needed.

Gave you both kudos.

Well yeah i guess when you worked with the GECK too long you find it simple. I had already used it for some quite complicated mods in fallout 3 and spend endless nights with it cursing, but you'll forget that at one point. There's even worse stuff that is not just "NOT" intuitive but impossible to figure out on your own, like some rather unusual commands or the ridiculous navigation in the 3D space. For example i remember how much i cursed just to put a crate in the right spot until i learned you can just hit "F" to drop it to the floor... Oh or "C" to change the view of the render window. But oh well you really get used to it after a while. The Bethesda Tutorials on youtube really help.
