fronzelneekburm
Hi there, I am trying to make a prototype medic armor mod as i saw the armor is still in the game, just the sounds and scripts are gone. I peeked a bit into Fallout 3 original and it seemed quite easy. - Added the original script to the armor- Added the conversions to a new dummy quest- Added a Mr Gutsy with permanent REF into dummy cell- Ran the conditions over the conversations- Did dummy recording wav files, worked fine. Replaced with 16-Bit mono pcm wavs Everything looks like it should work but it doesn't. I just cant hear any speech. At first i thought it was an archiveinvalidation i needed, but the wavs i use dont replace any existing in NV, so i think it cant be that, right? The only other thing i noticed is that F3 original did not have a quest for the conversation, i made a dummy quest without any settings to be able to add the convo. But as its triggered through the reference and "say" it should be independent from whatever quest tree it is planted in, right? I am a bit puzzled, maybe someone can help. I can upload the files if that helps. I'd really love to bring that crazy talking power armor from F3 back and somehow offer a good template for custom talking armor. sumoftwosins
Are you using the built-in feature in the GECK to record the voices? If so, there is a specific setting for the format. What that is off the top of my head, I don't know. I'll look it up when I get home.
fronzelneekburm
I just use the record feature to get the file reference and a "dummy" wav. I delete these and rename my wavs accordingly. My wavs are 16 Bit mono PCM, so i think that should work. But good idea, imma try with the original recordings as well to strike out if it is a format problem. Anyways, i need some sleep so imma continue tomorrow. Gonna keep you folks updated, I am sure its just some minor thing.
Marz13
You might try .ogg sound files. Most games tend to favor this.
