instead of the constant struggle to get fo3 mods ported ( armor and clothing mods etc. to be more specific... can some1 produce a text or youtube guide???

maybe 1 already exists... if u know of 1 , post link below i think this wuld rlly help out the community. im sure im not the only 1 wondering this.

I'm struggling as well, with something I suspect is not that hard if you have a clear idea of the workflow. I find the GECK tutorials pretty unhelpful as I'm not trying to make a new vault! Are there any templates or decision tree diagrams out there? The level complexity of the subject (Fallout's .ecm) and the GECK's less than friendly user interface deserve better learning materials.

The official videos from Bethesda on youtube are very helpful. One of the first is like making your own vault. Check out the official GECK website, i only use it as a reference. Imho most stuff in EGCK is very obvious, but some keyboard commands are something i had to look up, for example "C" to change the viewpoint of the render window or "F" to make an object drop to the floor.

 

 

Try to be more specific if you still have problems. I think Bethesdas Video tuts are really good and i doubt anyone is gonna remake them without a proper reason. If you have specific questions about a topic just ask here and everyone will be glad to help ya out.

Limited patience with video tutorials as they tend to come in 2 flavors;

 

First is errrrm. . the errrrm. . . video tutorial errrrm. . that is errrrrm. . done by errrrm. . . some doubtless knowledgeable errrrm. . . person to whom errrm. . . it hasn't errrm. . . occurred TO RE-RECORD THE BLEEDING VOICETRACK!

 

The second kind;

 

Will be talking about the BETHESDA GECK, for instance, and showing you how to use your BETHESDA GECK and will wander off topic to endorse the BETHESDA GECK as if you haven' gotten the ruddy BETHESDA GECK. otherwise why would you be watching the BETHESDA GECK tutorial?

 

The second is just annoying but the first type drives me wild!
