New PC - old F3

Please can someone help? I just built a new PC, installed Fallout 3 and all the DLCs, checked it was working did a save as a baby and then copied over my Fallout3 folder from my old PC. I installed the windows live patch. All the Drive paths are exactly the same as the old PC. Copied the Save files and INi files.

The game seemed to be working fine but when I entered Megaton there were a lot of Exclamation marks, but if I fast travel into Megaton (I have Book of Mark) everything seems fine. If I enter another building I get more exclamation marks for toilet dirty etc. It seems to be a random thing when I enter a new Cell sometimes its fine and sometimes a billiard table has become an exclamation mark or something else. Its not only things from modes because one time parts of the walkways in megaton became <!>

Also if this happens all my saved files turn into 0000 if I try to load a previous save.

Can anyone help or do I have to install everything long hand.

so you want your new machine to use the old machine's hardware - you copied over the ini files

did you remember to turn on archive invalidation on the new machine - world's leading cause of !!! in bethesda games

did you install the game to the default location - thereby empowering the evil megalomaniac dictator named UAC

All the game settings should be the same.

I toggled the archive invalidation of and back on in FOMM

It is installed in exactly the same location as the old PC D:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Fallout 3

I checked there is nothing seems wrong with the texture paths etc it seems to be going through load doors where the errors are happening as my trip to Megaton shows if I can skip the main gate I get inside fine, but from then on its other doors are the problem.

I didn’t want to have to start from scratch it’s just my old PC is just that old and not able to keep up so well when things start hoting up.
