lovender
I downloaded a mod from Pujangga:http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=16493 The mod adds artificial lighting. So, if you drop the crystal, the crystal glows & can can be used as light source to your surroundings. I 'd like to "attach" the glowing crystal to lightsaber, so the crystal will follow the weapon movement. The main purposes are to make the lightsaber glows, used as light source & weapon, & to cast the colored-shadows to the surroundings including the user's body. All that i know for sure,i have to put the crystal FormID in the same .esp as lightsaber, so i can connect the lightsaberID with crystalID.....with script??! My only question is:How can i make the script to realize my vision here?If someone know the tutorials for this matter, please let me know.Kudos will be given. My lightsaber mod can be downloaded here:http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=34766http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=35329 Thanks. Smooth613
I'd start with The Construction Set Wiki, scripting section.

Hickory
I do not see how you could possibly attach a light source to the end of a light sabre, via a script, with any amount of realism. I mean, the script will have to place, remove and replace that light source on EVERY SINGLE FRAME of the game, permanently! Do you know what that would do to your FPS locally, if you did pull it off? Static light sources on their own can be a drain on framerate, let alone a mobile unit being updated on every frame. Even if you achieved that, once you start waving that sabre around, I doubt very much if you will attain anything like what you are trying to achieve. Then again, I have been wrong before... :)

Hickory
I would help you with pleasure, if I knew anything about modelling, because that's what's needed here. You need to figure out a way to attach a light source to your lightsabre model physically, as in via Blender/NifSkope. Unfortunately, that is beyond my knowledge. :(
lovender
I tried to put the crystal into the saber hilt/blade through NifSkope...but it didn't glow! That's why i think what we really2 needed here is the script... Well...thanks for your time, Hickory!I'll try to find out what to do next...
