Some of those problems you mentioned, I already fixed after posting the list. I hadn't updated my Masterlist in awhile, so I did and ran BOSS again and that corrected it. However, I appreciate that you are updating it again with my mods in consideration. That is very helpful :) Do you have any other suggestions? I've continued to test this, and Oblivion is loading faster, and running smoother. No crashes. I even tested it by loading the original save game that was giving me problems (which I had to go back 20 hours and replay over), and it isn't crashing any more either. I think we might have locked this one down, but I haven't had time to sit down and extensively test it yet, so I can't confirm this for sure yet. The one major problem I'm continuing to have is that Oblivion won't close properly. I get the crash bug when I try to exit the game. After installing Fast Exit 2, I now get the crash bug about 75 to 80% of the time, so Fast Exit has not done too much to help. It's a minor thing though. As long as the game itself isn't crashing, I don't mind CADing to exit, and using saveini to make changes, although its not ideal. Regarding your personal mod, I suggest you add it to your userlist.txt (assuming you are using the latest version of BOSS, which you should be) like so: ADD: Female Legion and Guard Armors.espAFTER: Female Helmet Replacer.espAPPEND: % {{BASH:Any Bash suggestions or tags that you use, otherwise discard this entire line}} Your load order is well on the right track now, and it's good to hear that your gaming experience has improved. Regarding the not closing, try installing weOCPS in addition to Fast Exit -- I had the very same problem, and those two combined cured it. AH1 Posted November 7, 2010 Author Share Posted November 7, 2010 Thanks for the suggestions. I was already using CPS actually. So, unfortunantely, my exit problem has yet to go away. Oh well, like I said, in the larger scheme of things, that isn't as bad. CPS makes its system beep sound, then it CTDs like it always does. Also, the HGEC body piercing mod I'm not actually using. That was enabled accidentally. Although for those who are using it, it's great that the list will now include it. I was running nearly 130 mods before. I heard talk of the magical number of instability being around 150. I'm not surprised, retrospectively, that this was starting to cause problems. The interesting thing about my CTD on exit problem is that it happens more often when running WyreBash, and not so much when running OBMM. Not sure why that is. You'd think OBSE and WyreBash would get along better than the aforementioned and OBMM. Thanks for all your help. If I have any further problems, or find any further solutions, I'll update this thread. Smooth613 Posted November 7, 2010 Share Posted November 7, 2010 As far as the CTD's on exit that's odd, and unfortunate, with Fast Exit 2. I haven't CTD'd not one single time after it was installed. (knocks on wood) The "magic" number you're referring to is actually 250, not 150. That's when Oblivion has problems. It's a limit to the amount of ESPs. There is also another limit as to the amount of files you can have in your Data folder. This is somewhere around 400. This includes all file types. BSAs, ESPs, ESMs, etc... I currently have about 175 active ESPs amongst many other merged mods and a custom patch with various tweaks. I very rarely crash, if at all. (again knocking on wood) So I think it's not the amount of mods but more the combination of mods that influence the amount of crashes. And finally, the crashing is a placebo effect you're experiencing with the Wrye Bash, OBMM deal. Since neither utility actually do anything once you load the game. Hell they don't even have to be open. Just make a shortcut to your OBSE_Loader.exe and you don't even have to open WB or OBMM to start your game. However, right now, for some reason, WryeBash is refusing to launch. I'm not entirely sure why. EDIT: Here is some additional information. It is crashing after the part in the game involving Kvatch (no details to avoid spoilers). After I fast travel away, it crashes, no matter where I FT to. I don't know if that is helpful or not, but there you go. UPDATE TO ABOVE: After doing some research, it seems this is a somewhat common crash bug. I reloaded a previous save, and played through it all again. I'm still getting crashes. Does any one have any idea how to fix this? EDIT II: This is almost certainly being caused by Kvatch Rebuilt. As soon as I disabled it, and everything associated with it, the crashing stopped. That kind of sucks though, because I really wanted to try it out.
