Hello Nexus family members (don't take that offensively, though I don't see how could you.),

((WARNING!: SENSELESS PADDING AND AUTHOR INTRODUCTION.))

I want to make a mod *badup-dusch.*, "No Way! I never would've though! Friggin' idiot." You're probably thinking right now. But before you leave this topic, I would like the chance to entice you. *awkward silence* You still here? Great.

Although I have a bit of dabble with GECK for Fallout 3, that was mostly stat and other "behind the scenes" stuff. In other words, I have never made anything totally new for the player to use, not due to lack of ideas mind you. I have given it a lot of thought and finally decided that if something in this dimension can help me, that's the Holy Nexus and it's Members.

((SENSELESS PADDING AND AUTHOR INTRODUCTION END.))

The mod idea is really simple, and yet no one else has thought of it as far as I know, at least no one released it. Basically I would like to create a house mod.

Details:

The Player finds a cut of section of the sewers, and a quest is added. (("A Cozy Little Place...")) Then The Player has to go around the Mohave, to search for drilling equipment, to expand his new dwelling ((Quest Objective: "This place is too small, I wonder if I can't expand it...)), after finding a mod added NPC with the right equipment and buying it off/stealing it/trading for it, The Player has a choice ((Previous Objective marked COMPLETED, New Main Objective: "What kinda headquarters do I want?" with Optional Objectives [Only one can be completed.]: "I've heard of some Indians building underground houses... That might be cool."; "I don't have time for fancy s***, leave it at this and go find some equipment"; "More and more people are talking about some kind of 'Vaults' I think I might like that..."))

I am now listing every quest path on its own:

Underground House:

= "Hm, well I guess It'd be best to find some old furniture that's somewhat intact." ~ There will be some chairs, a table, few counters a lamp or two spread across the desert for the player to literally pick up and haul back to his hole.

= "Now lets buy all the needed tools and gadgets..." ~ One of the items the player will pick up is a terminal, then you can buy (Yes with hard/not so hard earned caps.): A workbench, A reloading bench, A cooker, A medical locker.

== END OF BRANCHING PATH

Bare Cave:

="Well, I'll need a terminal for sure." ~ The Player will have to find a terminal, but this one can be bought off of a mod added NPC, for a hefty amount of caps, of course.

= "Now lets buy all the needed tools and gadgets..." ~ One of the items the player will pick up is a terminal, then you can buy (Yes with hard/not so hard earned caps.): A workbench, A reloading bench, A cooker, A medical locker, All the furniture.

And Because time is getting on my tail, I will add the vault branching path (The best one in my honest opinion, since it's the only one that has other branching choices.) tomorrow. Sorry people!

Sincerely Yours,

Pwnography
