so in FO3 there were allot of (annoying) kids in the game but in new vegs there are like 3 in freeside and more with the boomers and like 2 in the legion..but no kids in goodsprings, novac or any other settelment...where the hell are they? who went on a child killing spree and didnt invite me?!

on another note does super mutants spawn anywhere else from jacobstown or black mountain?

What pisses me off the most is that you can't kill kids. Can't even pickpocket them. Any shot you take at them simply flies straight through them.. Makes no goddamn sense when you kill all of freeside with a minigun but somehow the kids are still running around chasing their goddamn rat.

um

3 kids in the Fort

Can count 5 in Freeside - off the top of my head

Seem to remember some rug-rats in the sewers

1 under exit 188

unmarked location north of Devil's Throat should respawn muties (look for the maxi-nuke)

Are there even any other supermutants besides nightkin? NV isn't the same without some ugly orange muties.

Yeah, they're also a lot more interesting than Fallout 3's.

How are the average NV mutants more interesting? They look EXACTLY like FO3's besides a color change, and in both games they showed some character in their small selection of speech options.

The ones in DC aren't quite the same though, because they aren't very intelligent, and have little guidance, unlike the ones from the West Coast which can actually be kept in check in most cases by any friendly 1st gen muties, and so there are less of them who are hostile besides little detached groups. No?

Anyways, Ive run into two groups of Super Mutants away from Jacobstown and Black Mountain. One had its own map marker, not sure what it was called. It had irradiated puddles in a somewhat steppe (right word?) like area. The Other was in a far northeast section of the map, near a marked area which had numerous centaurs.

Shame. Killing them was fun.

Console commands in Fallout 3 made it easy to take away their Essential status with a batch file and the right IDs.

I wasn't like I was ever going to go back to Little Lamplight anyway after getting the door open and passing through to Vault 87. The Devs obviously made those damn kids extra obnoxious just because you couldn't kill them (by default.)
