fronzelneekburm
Allright, as i found the enclave came a bit short i decided i will do a mod to fix that. Here's what i thought so far, but i always look for more ideas... - Background story: There's some hidden Enclave area in the New Vegas area. They seem to not want to believe that the enclave was destroyed in Washington or they simply don't care? At least they don't seem to wanna give up their New Vegas facility and run away (Where should enclave people go anyways but join the followers or become canibals).Anyways, there is an enclave installation with LOADS of enclave soldiers and scientists. The player can choose to talk the guards to let him into join (They dont get many recruits anyways these days) as a recruit or to engage combat against some heavily armed power armored guys. Whatever way is chosen, the player can learn a bit about the backgrounds of the NV enclave base and their plans... of course many sinister secrets and ties to the story get uncovered. Could Mr. house really build a robot army without the enclave knowing about it? - Setting: To not destroy the original scenery i thought about using some of the unused plains behind the cell "Canyon wreckage" (the one with the "Courier go home" graffiti). The idea is to simply add some plants and monsters to the surroundings and add an enclave camp and bunker. - Quests: A whole quest line to become an enclave recruit and go up in ranks through finishing further quests for the enclave. Some quests could lead to such important advantages for the enclave that for example suddenly enclave squads appear among the wasteland or enable an old enclave soldier to be your follower. Or secure the old vertibird refuling station in the mountains (You know they one from arcade). - NEED YOUR HELP: I am not that good with architecture, but if i need to i will model my own enclave base. However - would be cool to have some help of a fellow modder and enclave fan that is willing to help out with some basic bunker/building design. I also always need people willing to lend their voice as it sounds boring when i do all dubbing with my own voice. I also always look for good ideas, quests, stories and so on - so every feedback would be valued.
CarlBratananadalewski
Sounds pretty sweet man. I am terrible at modding myself but I support the idea wholeheratedly; the Enclave are one of my favorite video game enemies/entities, rivaling the Combine. But yeah, sounds cool :)
fronzelneekburm
Well yeah if you cant mod and dont wanna look into it you could still do some dubbing work. It's always cool to have many voices for many NPC, ya know?
fronzelneekburm
*bump* Hey people, as more work is finished on this mod i could really use some people willing to record some sentences for dubbing purposes.Native english speakers prefered! Currently I already developed 5 characters, but many more will probably follow. Sgt. Miller: A young enclave soldier guarding the entrance and watching over NCR activities in Primm. Charismatic, a rather rare soldier in the enclave's traditionally well behaved corps. He smokes while on guard alone and takes off his helmet to do so which is clearly disobeying orders. Generally a young and party loving brute who enjoys beer as much as blasting radscorpions or raiders. Col. Sparrow: An old enclave officer and the highest ranked officer in charge at the Primm canyon base. Although a loyal enclave officer the recent situation and the resulting events have left him more freedom in his choices which he welcomes. He has never been a "fan" of president Eden and believes the enclave high command might be involved in the outgoing in D.C.. Sparrow is a realistic man who is aware of the enclave's past mistakes but don't let his honest words lead you wrong - this man is still loyal to the high command. Dr. Waldern: A young scientist from the commonwealth. It seems the enclave has convinced him to work on their side, but Waldern was always interested in their technology. He is very charismatic and enthusiastic about his research. Although his major was in robotics he does seem to have interest into other fields of work as well. Some of his research is of practical value - not only for the enclave but also for the player. Lt. Briggs: A loyal field commander of the enclave. While he is rough and short tempered he is good with plasma weapons and keeps cool during battles. If the player advances far enough in enclave hirarchy it might be possible to get Briggs as a follower. Pvt. Hudson: Your standard G.I. - at least that might be your impression on first sight. While Hudson is a good drinker and gambler dreaming of visiting New Vegas one day he might be a bit green. The player will be able to get Hudson to aid him for some enclave missions, but Hudson is rather pessimistic and cautious. He is neither as brave as other soldiers not is his energy weapon skill legendary. The character is losely based on the Private Hudson characters from the Movie "Aliens". I really need people willing to do some voices. I will also be willing to help out in other peoples voices, but i cant pay any money for your help. Just the promise that you would be part of a really nice mod that does not just bring back a few enclave missions but also continues the enclave's story and may even lead to a completely different New Vegas and ending than you knew. someguynamedjoe
You need a location for the base? Simple. Area 51. It's one of the most highly-protected military installations in the IRL Mojave Desert, and if I remember correctly, it's in the general area. RellioN
i think it's pointless to ask for people to voice your characters while you have shown nothing of your mod regarding in-game content etc.
fronzelneekburm
Hmmm, true maybe i need to make a video to get people interested.
someguynamedjoe
If you're serious about getting this mod started, I'd be happy to help in any way I can. I'm terrible at texturing and stuff, but I can voice act and help with quests.
fronzelneekburm
I definitely need as many voice actors as i can get. If you have ideas about quests then let me know. I already got the entry tunnel and the enclave soldier templates finished.
