Grogrokl
I have sereval mods with Dirty Edits. These mods are recognized by BOSS but they are not flagged by BOSS as containing dirty edits. My question is: should I clean them or not?
IkeCoast
Before cleaning them, check the Readme and the documentation they include, if any. Some mods need the Dirty Edits in order to properly function. In any case, make a backup of these mods, or ensure you always store safely the downloaded packages. Cheers! mhahn123
In conjunction with what Ike already said, yes you should clean any mod that has dirty edits. Unless the mod author has intentionally left those edits in place. In those rare cases the author usually says so in the mods read-me file. BOSS only flags mods that users have submitted info about, it does not actually have the ability to recognize whether or not a mod needs cleaning on it's own. I would suggest checking every mod you intend to install, and cleaning them if necessary. And if you can spare the time, please submit the dirty edit info (CRC number, itm count, and udr count) on one of the BOSS threads so I can add those tags for future mod users. Grogrokl
Thanks for your answers.I did not load their implicit dependencies (if they had any) because that was to advanced for me but if that's good enough then I can submit the info. Where are the BOSS threads?
