Absolutely TERRIBLE FPS

When first getting the game, my performance was quite bad, I have a 3.1GHz Quad Core with 4GB Ram and an ATI HD 5750 and I was getting 20 fps on ultra. I used the original performance fix and it worked perfectly bringing my average FPS to around 55.

 

Now all of a sudden, with nothing changed, I go onto the game today and it is performing terrible, barely 10 FPS, then after 1-2 minutes it crashes with no explanation.

 

My computer is performing as good as always on all other games. I attempted uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail.

It's sounds like you've encountered a problem like I had yesterday. Out of the blue my game started running like s***, i.e. super-low FPS and crashes. I narrowed the problem down to a semi-corrupt save. I think what originally caused the problem was that I used a console command for .50 caliber ammo and it glitched my save. I also thought i would have to re-install but I loaded the save right before I did the command and the game hasn't stuttered or crashed since. Did you by chance use a console command or install a mod before the problems happened? I would suggest trying an earlier save to see if it helps, if not then check any mods you may have.

 

BTW did you use your old saves after you re-installed or did you start a fresh new game with new saves?
