  1. Like the title says, all my saves have disappeared since I last played. I'm also not using mods or trainers, never had. Has anyone had this happen before and how do I protect myself from this other than making manual backups?
  2. My memory is a bit hazy over this but i was messing around with all the HUD stuff way back when and i recall all of those textures dumping right when you start the game and you're still in the opening menus. Problem is a shitload of textures dump when you start and it can be a pain in the ass to wade through them all. BTW, i dumped my textures in the original DS2 Scholar with Gedosato so that won't help with IGP11 and the DX11 version of Scholar but there's no way the textures shouldn't be dumping when the game loads into the menus using IGP11. Edit: I believe the texture you're looking for that has the health and stamina bars on it is named 32768_14467864812956854312.dds I found the name of it in this mod. If i were you i'd download that mod so you have an idea of what specific textures to grab after you dumped unmodified textures from your game. If you don't want to do that just dump your textures and look for the file name i listed above because that's the same texture i changed the color of my health and stamina bars in my game (and old mod).
  3. Just taking the temperature of how dead DS2 is and if i should bother making any more textures for the Dark Souls games (all 3).
  4. Are there any known issues with getting banned by using iGP11 and Steam? I'd like to use it and start up some new projects but i'd rather not get banned. So, any problems?
  5. Actually i got it working! i verified my game again and somehow it started working :D Idk what the hell changed this time vs the first time i did it but it works now... i want to cry tears of joy! Thanks for the help, though. And i did update SK and Homemaker this morning so im good and up to date :D IDK if you can tell im happy :P
  6. Add another one to the pile... I have done everything suggested so far that is supposed to work. I deleted all ini files, verified the game cache, unchecked and even uninstalled all my mods. I started fresh and no luck.... And basing the game performance after this update vs 1.2 it's night and day. My game actually works now.... except for workshop mode. I'm at my wits end on this. IDK if anyone has any other suggestions but im all "ears". Any possible solutions are appreciated. My load order is below if anyone is interested. BTW, dont know if this is important but my crafting benches for armor and guns etc. seem to work fine. This is specifically a workshop building issue it seems.
  7. Okay, i gotcha. I'll drop it. I just got into it to much... It was like watching a movie and not seeing the ending. :P
  8. ARGH, Why can't it be said?????????????????? If you want to know, you seen the post but if you don't have "that issue" don't. I am only here to help you fix the game, I am not a punching bag for those that would NO DOUBT AT ALL take offense. here, on this site it's called mod bashing..or some other weird thing can or will be used. So keep things polite, and we fix the games. that enough? kitty No one is bashing anyone. I am simply curious beyond all hell about the secrecy of the problem.
  9. I would agree that a mod is likely causing the crashes... But the only other thing i can think of is a possible cell or save corruption. I remember the last time i played FO3 i couldn't enter the cell to Germantown without my game crashing. It was due to a bad cell caused by autosaving. If disabling all your mods doesn't stop the crashing then you should try loading older manual saves so you can find a working one where you can still enter Megaton. If it is a save corruption (and not a mod conflict) and you don't have any manual saves you are likely screwed. Like i said, when i got the Germantown corruption i had to search through a ton of old saves to find one before the corruption happened. I lost many hours of gameplay but it was all i could do to salvage my game. I know this may be very annoying but you should never play with autosaving or overwrite saves. It causes problems.
  10. Most likely and archive invalidation issue. I'll assume you are using NMM so all you need to do is go up to the tools tab (wrench and screw drive) and turn on Archive Invalidation. If it's already activated (checked) just toggle it off and then back on again. That should get the textures working.
  11. I just had the exact same problem and could only save if i nuked myself. The only way i was ever able to stop the crashing altogether was to deactivate every mod i had, make a clean save and then reactivate them all. I didn't uninstall them just deactivated their esp's. I know it's very inconvenient but it may be the only way to stop it for you as well.
  12. Okay, i fixed the problem in a slightly inconvenient way. I had to disable every mod i had, made a "clean" save and re-enabled them all. I lost all my mod items but they were somewhat easy to come by again, especially since i just cleared out Fort Bannister, so no extra fighting to get some important stuff back. Good news is i can save without blowing myself up anymore... So i guess problem solved.
  13. I am experiencing a truly odd and annoying bug. At the start of every game session I have to blow myself up to be able to save games. I'll put it into steps to be clear... 1. Start FO3. 2. Continue. 3. Blow myself up. (if i don't the game will crash as soon as i try to save) 4. Reload last save. 5. I can now save again like normal until i quit the game. BTW, i was in the the area Jury Street Metro Station (where you find Prime) and had a random crash right before the saving trouble started. Before that crash everything was stable and ran fine and i could save like normal. I do not use any autosaves either. All saves are manual, separate saves. Does anyone know how to permanently fix this? It literally started out of nowhere and i have no idea why. Thanks for any help! Here's my load order if curious:
  14. Sounds to me like you got softbanned. You're not the only ones who have gotten banned using it either. Sorry. Edit: The more i think about it the more i get irked. the author knows it can and will get you banned but he dances around the subject. I don't know why i'm apologizing but i really am sorry you guys might have gotten banned because of that crap.
  15. Gedosato is not compatible with the DX11 version of DS2, which means no texture mods will work.
  16. @sevencardz Yeah i know to add the master through tes5edit. I think my problem is that i'm trying to make one patch that covers all three of the ESP's i mentioned above. I just tried making a patch that only covered the "ETaC - Complete.esp" and i didn't get any duplicate signs. So i believe the problem lies in trying to do too much with one patch. That brings up a separate problem now. I don't want to add three new ESP'S to someones load order. And since i can't make a single patch that has dependencies on all three ESP's i might just be stuck having to edit the original ESP's. Something i also don't want to do... :/ Man this is annoying. @DDProductions83 I have absolute zero knowledge of how to use Wryebash so that option isn't going to work for me.
  17. I am trying to make a "compatibility" patch for Expanded Towns and Cities and Mystical Illumination (my mod). What i am attempting to do is enable daytime fade on the signs which is achieved by enabling exterior lighting (under the emittance tab of the object). The problem is that when i do enable the external emittance on the signs and save the patch ESP (that has dependencies on the ETaC ESP's) i get double signs on one sign post, in most cases. The ESP'S i'm trying to make the patch for are: ETaC - Complete.esp ETaC - Dragon Bridge South.esp Immersive Whiterun.esp I just don't get why i can't make a simple patch that overrides the original ESP's. It makes no sense why it is adding an extra sign. One sign that fades like i want it to and one that doesn't. BTW, The only way i have been able to add the emittance effect successfully is by editing the original ESP's which i don't want to do. ETaC gets updated quite a bit and having to edit the same things over and over doesn't make sense to do. I know i have explained my problem horribly but if anyone can decipher what i'm asking and can help i'd be appreciative.
  18. I used to have an extremely low impact ENB that only gave me godrays (which i'm also looking for btw). Not sure if it did the whole parallax thing... Anyway, i just saw the mod called "Skyrim 2015 Shaders" and in the description it said... So this is what i'm looking for. I'm also looking for any suggestions what ENB might only give me parallax and godrays. I don't neeed or want any of the extra fluff because i have mods that handle that. Thanks to anyone who can help.
  19. Can't you just change it when you make your character? Probably too late for that, though. My guess is you'll have to dump the textures yourself. The good news if you dump them is you won't have to load fully into the game, that would mean sifting through hundreds more textures than necessary. All you need to load into is the continue menu and that should dump all the face textures. I don't know if you plan on making this a public mod, but if you do remember that there are two resolutions, medium and high. So make sure you dump all the textures.
  20. Money will eventually destroy everything. Greed is an amazing thing... No one can do anything just for the pure joy of it anymore. Every action has to be monetized. Gimme more, gimme anything, just gimme. I will never pay for a user created mod. It does not matter what the mod would be, how epic it is, how integral to the game it could possibly be, i will not be forced to pay for them. Donations, okay. Paywalls, hell no. And to the people who support paid mods i have one thing to say. Be careful what you wish for because you just might get it.
  21. In response to post #24731924. #24732119, #24732384, #24732499 are all replies on the same post. I wouldn't donate to SkyUI if someone gave me the money to donate. Their arrogance has been absolutely ridiculous.
  22. I've been on the Valve/Steam hate bandwagon for years now because i could see the growing greed, but this is the final nail. I am going to do every legal thing i can to avoid them from now on as hard as it may be. I'm so sick of them trying to rake in money for doing absolutely NOTHING. This is not the same company that gave us Half-Life, Left 4 Dead or Portal. They are now a bloated, money-hungry company that has turned into something akin to EA where profit is king over creativity. It's gross and i've literally had enough of them. And i'm sorry, If you are making mods to make money you are doing it wrong. It will always be a losing scheme *unless* you are doing it to learn and hone a craft to get an *actual job* in the game development industry. Like the guy who made Falskaar (Alexander J. Velicky). If money is any motivation to make mods you are going to be disappointed. But hey, people are greedy. I will have no part of it, though.
  23. In response to post #24567064. It's possible but it's more likely the modders themselves will be doing the lock outs. Why would they bother posting it here on The Nexus when they can lock it there behind their Steam paywall?
