Mazdek
It really bugs me that companions don't ever seem to need healing. Maybe its a function of being set essential?? I remember in F3 they'd limp along behind you until you gave them a stimpack, that was cool. Until the passive combat setting actually works I refuse to not use setessential mods, but they should still require healing.
WuphonsReach
Even on hardcore mode, they will heal up automatically after battles. You only really have to apply stimpaks to them in the middle of battle - if you can spare the time to micromanage them at all. I never used companions in FO:3, they were nigh useless there. I'm finding them much more useful in FO:NV though... mostly because some of them have quests that won't trigger until you drag them across the map. cih
Thought I'd drag this post back to the top instead of creating a new one, I'd really appreciate a mod that would make my NPC's wounds not vanish the second I finish combat. It's actually the reason I didn't use them during this play through, it just feels a lot like cheating even on very hard / hardcore. Is anyone onto this?
