FlyingHigh10000000
Hrm, the S&W Model 500 would be perfect. Dunno if there are any good 5-shot revolver models out already. If there are, you could just mod the stats so it uses .50 MG rounds.
NaboeN
The .50 MG round in a revolver? Are you guys crazy? Sure in Fallout it would cool, but in real life it's almost impossible (almost, because there is the Thunder .50 BMG pistols) For a revolver, I'd rather use the 12.7mm rounds, which are .50 cal too, but with a shorter cartridge. NaboeN
I've seen a S&W model somewhere, just not sure if it was on Nexus, Gamebanana or somewhere else.
FlyingHigh10000000
Nobody's crazy. It's just that making a .500 round for one pistol, implementing it into leveled lists, vendors, etc, making a model for it and the casing, is a lot more work than just using an existing ammunition type. .50 MG is close enough that it will work. NaboeN
I'm not bashing it, I'm just saying that the 12.7mm is already pretty much the caliber you guys want, sure it isn't named ".50 CALLIBURR GODKILLAH" but in reality, 12.7 millimeters is exactly 1/2 of an Inch, making it a .50 Caliber round. Simply just not named, because it seems like they in Fallout figured quite slowly that the metric system is superior :)

DuSable
You know... I think a pistol that large and powerful would be fun to have in the game... provided that every time you pull the trigger the recoil could knock your character off their feet like they got hit by a Super Mutant with a Super Sledge. You'd need just the right perks to stay standing.
NaboeN
I was going to make this .50 MG revolver out of spite, but now my Nifskope doesn't work properly. And yes, have it knock the player off it's feet would be a great addition. I even this there's a script that can do it, I'm just not sure it would work properly on the player or the target. Khajit187
Hell, I've wished a S&W M500 since I first played Fallout 3! The thing with the knock-down seems perfect... so, for not get knocked down you should have a high enough strength, your guns-skill should be high enough and maybe make it so you need experience with the weapon itself. Like, kill so many enemies with it and you get an perk, as with the "kill soandso many bugs" 'n stuff. Also, I recall there was a mod for Fallout 3 I guess, that added the perk "Jinxed" (yeah, we all know that from the first Fallouts, eh? :P) which would make you and your enemy fail sometimes, like be knocked down. Maybe try to look at that?
