SpellAndShield
Let's say I could actually afford something at mid-price range. What would the experts recommend to me? (partially in anticipation of Dragon Age 2 but not exclusively) and yes I know, laptops are not the best for gaming but if you are a wanderer they are the only option so if you could I would like to hear your recommendations. Thank you
Vagrant0
DA2 will probably have similar requirements to DA1... Both are built around console specifications, with console users in mind, so you probably won't need any ridiculous hardware specs to play it. For a gaming laptop, and in general, alienware has actually lost its edge since pairing with Dell. Meaning that most of what you are really paying for is just the brandname. You can probably get more bang for your buck by looking at other companies. It might help to give an idea of what sort of budget you have to work with. evilneko
I'd recommend avoiding Alienware. They are supremely overpriced.

Jagermh
Since alienware was bought out by dell I avoid it like the plague, it was overpriced in the first place and now dell have gone and assimilated it. You should probably buy an asus gaming laptop, theyre reasonably priced for gaming laptops.anything from the 50 series and up dont buy a qosimo (toshiba), you'll get ripped off. if you want indestructable you should probs buy a macbook pro, theyre milled out of a solid hunk of metal and you can install windows on the new intel models. Qwaxalot
With $2000.00 USD, your options are huge. Check out Newegg.com, at that kind of money there are a huge array of options available.
