GalacticRelic
Hey everybody. So Recently I went back to Fallout 3 and have succesfully installed all the fixes for windows 8 and multiple cores etc.... The ones I can list are the multi core ini fix, the stutter remover from the nexus, the windows xp or whatever compatibility mode, and the CFF explorer 2gb enabler, (there may be more I did that I forgot , but either way what i'm trying to convey is that the game is fixed up and ready to play on a modern machine. Now before I carry on the way I first attempted to do what is in the title is I followed this guide http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/18909/? . After I completed it Fose was working through steam (by renaming fose_launcher.exe to FalloutLauncher.exe but borderless windowed wasn't working. I still get the taskbar, the lines on top, and to the left as well. And all day I have been trying so many different methods to get rid of them but none of them work for the renamed fose launcher(the fake FalloutLauncher.exe that is actually fose). The methods I used go's as http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/45/? (from the guide I mentioned earlier), http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/19376/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Ffallout3%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D19376%26preview%3D&pUp=1 , https://steamcommunity.com/groups/borderless-gaming , and even a script that makes all borders invisble by hotkey. And none of them worked through the Fake FalloutLauncher that is actually Fose. But the thing is if I rename the fake FalloutLauncher back to its original" Fose_launcher.exe the borderless window works. Any Ideas? I could really use some help guys. Thanks in advance. M48A5
Why are you using Steam to play Fallout3, a Game for Windows Live game? The only thing steam will do for you is throw up roadblocks as you try to add various enhancements. There are instructions on Steam on how to install the game outside of Steam and outside of Program Files.

I like to have my hours counted as well as having the steam overlay. And it's not even a games for windows live game because that is disabled through fose. GalacticRelic
Why are you using Steam to play Fallout3, a Game for Windows Live game? You do know that you can get FO3 on Steam? Lmao. Of course I know I have it on steam. I don't think you understand the situation..... Fose requires it's own launcher that is out of steam but if you rename Fose_launcher.exe to FalloutLauncher.exe it launches thru steam. What I have been saying is that borderless windowed mode doesn't work when I do that, but Fose does. However when I rename the fake (fose) FalloutLauncher.exe back to fose_launcher.exe it works but then I have to use the fose exe and not the steam one. therefore it doesn't launch through steam. That was hilarious that you thought that though haha.
