Staghound
So, the Courier is shot in the head, and the Doctor repairs the damage: presumably the good Doc shaved the Courier's head before operating/cleaning up/whatever. So the Courier should start the game with a shaved head. But who wants to take their PC through the whole game with a bald head? Especially with a female PC? Now it would be simple to represent the Courier's hair regrowing by changing the hair style at regular intervals (say, weekly), especially if you have a hair-style mod activated, with the greater variety of hair styles. Failing which some of the raider-style hair cuts could be used. BUT - the only (non-console) way to change hair styles is with the King's barber - and even that requires loading a Mod, and would be an available option too late in the game to be worth while. So can some skilled Modder produce a mod which would allow the PC to have a new hair style via Pip-boy (or Pip-girl) when wanted? I'm afraid I am not a Modder and wouldn't know how to begin such a task.
gsmanners
Well, the console command is: ShowBarberMenu
Staghound
Aah - thank you for that. The only way I had been able to find anywhere was by going to the changerace command, which I gather has the effect that if you use it you have to reinstate all your character's perks. But this console command is just the job! So Mavra now has just a week or so's growth of hair (and rather untidy at that) and will slowly regrow her 'crowning glory'!" Would he really bother to shave your entire head when the bullet apparently only went a small ways into your front-right temple in an area where there is no hair to begin with? Staghound
Well the Doc does say something about cleaning things up and wanting to check he's got the pieces back in the right places!Without getting into too much detail, the bullet could have ricocheted around the skull under the skin, so there would be entry and exit wounds - and the exit wound could be above the hairline; or there could be some bone chips to be removed. My PC wears an eyepatch, I haven't pinpointed the damage, but it could be to the supra-orbital ridge, or it could be higher and blindness caused by impact trauma affecting the eye. Whatever, it amuses me to start her with a shaved head and slowly regrow the hair
