Still in the dark quest glitch?

Has anyone else had this problem: There appears to be no holotape at the black mountain location. I found the pit and the skeletons, but that is it. Unfortunately the nexus forum search doesn't allow 2 character words in a search and apparently doesn't recognize "that this is a phrase" I wish to search on. So if I try to search on "still in the dark" to see if anyone else here has already had this problem all I get is an error message. I did of course Google it and found that at least one other person out there is having the same problem, but there has been no reply to his posts (on a different site).

 

Am I missing something? It appears that the holotape should be on one of the skeletons in the pit? There isn't much else around that area. I thought that the map marker must be glitched and searched all over the area, but from what I've been able to tell I was searching in the right place from the start (the pit)? Am I wrong about this. Help!

EDIT: I managed to fix this myself by resetting the Brothherhood of Steel Paladin character who should have been in the pit. I had to reload an ancient (level 2) save in order to find a save which wasn't glitched to I could figure out his id number. Here is the solution (requires use of console):

 

prid 0015a7ce

 

disable

enable

kill

resurrect

moveto player

kill (unless you want him alive)

 

I was then able to raid his body and get the quest item.

 

Hope this helps a few others who might encounter this problem.

Update: I found a walkthrough of this quest on YouTube and realized that the Brotherhood of Steel Paladin isn't even in the pit for me! He/she simply isn't there. The skeletons are there, and of course Moe respawns there on occasion, but there is no knight/paladin.

 

Sooooooooo, that's not good. I've been trying to locate the item code for the holodisk/tape which I should have found there but no luck. Can someone send me the item code? I'll just additem to get it.

I have the same problem the bodies just aren't there. pls hlp! hoe do i add that halo tape file ive looked through dozens of mods and cat find any thing related except a dialog fix..... so pls drop some knowledge on me
