scooterbug777
Hi everyone, I hope someone can help me. I've got those cute Pellena twins helping me out but I find that for some unknown reason, they just turn against friends which is a real pain. Can someone please explain why this happens and what I can do to stop it from happening. Cheers,Fred
Hickory
It depends on who the 'friends' are; which faction/s they are in, and their disposition.

Hi Hickory, The friends are NPCs that are and aren't part of the main quest including guards etc. For example, in Kvatch after the twins helped out fighting the villains inside the gate, they were set upon by everyone inside the church. It has also occured on another occasion after coming out of a cave and returning to Chorrel. Everyone in the town set upon them as if they were the enemy? It means I have to go back to previous saves where the problem doesn't exist. Cheers,Fred
Hickory
Ok, companions have the same rules as the player, in that if they strike a friendly NPC too often (usually 3 times), they are automatically considered hostile. The problem with companions, is that they don't yield, they continue to fight anybody who attacks them, up to their confidence threshold. So, in the course of the Kvatch scuffle, they probably (a) got in the way and were attacked themselves, or (b) accidentally attacked friendly forces. NPCs can get negative reputation, so entering a town can trigger guards or others to attack on sight. Try to keep them out of trouble, and ALWAYS save before entering a fight where friendlies are around.

It is a problem as they are hard to control ie always aggresive even when set to passive so I'll use them until they have they aren't toletrated anywhere. It would be a shame as its nice to bew surrounded by a couple of hotties hehehe. I tried again from a saved game and found they were accepted in Kvatch but they seem to be instantly set upon in Chorrel. Sometimes they won't move either when asked to follow...glitches I suppose. Yes, each town has it's own faction, and GBH will be town-specific, whereas murder would be global. :) Sometimes they won't move either when asked to follow...glitches I suppose. That often happens with partners, when their idle AI kicks in at very inopportune moments -- you might want to fast travel to the IC, but they want to sit down for dinner; glitches, as you say.
