Today I downloaded and installed Blender 2.55a and I tried to install

pyFFi but it does not find blender. Is it enough do copy the scripts

from the Blender 2.49 directory to the scripts directory of 2.55a.

Or can i use the command line install tool of pyffi.

PyFFI and NIF Scripts are not going to be made to work with Blender 2.5x until it is out of beta. Once out of beta, the NIF team will work on versions that will be compatibile with the Blender 2.5x branch. Until then, use Blender 2.49b which is uploaded here at TESNexus (see pinned topic).

If you have a 64-bit OS, you could also install a copy of the 2.5 Blender that is 64-bit and it will co-exist with the 32-bit version that works with PyFFI. You could do all your modeling in 2.5x, save your blend file, open 2.49b to export.
