cryocry
Kitties rule. The ironic thing is that I play as an Imperial... anyway, I'm not getting bored with it, but it is getting a little old. Maybe I should resort to looting dungeons as much as possible?
Malchik
I sympathise DMTT. As a hardened Morrowind fan I will be bound to say that in Oblivion Bethesda went two steps forward and five steps back. The four things that make it get boring far more quickly are poor variety of dungeon (4 as against 12), fewer playable factions (4 as against 9 - 11 if you cheated - and a choice of vampire clans), far fewer quests (150 as against 450) and the absence of non-random magical items of power that make dungeon exploring in MW a constant source of anticipation. But Any is also right to point out that the modding community is doing its best to overcome some of these shortcomings. So certainly have a look at adding mods to enhance the game experience. Bear in mind however that the best mods will take time to develop. In Morrowind they were coming out two/three years after the game was released. It may be a while yet before the really immersive mods hit the forums. Not everyone enjoyed MW to the same extend I did and it is a much older game, so I am not going to tell you to rush out and buy it if you don't know it already. But the comparisons mentioned above are informative.
sleaaels
Yeah I agree with Malchik about the plus and minus of Oblivion and Morrowind, I think it will take modders till early next year before substantial mods come out, like those epic mods in morrowind. Oblivion is still pretty new and not to mention more complicated so it will take modders a little more time to be experts in overcoming problems and producing new content. What are you trying to do, make ppl stop play Oblivon and start playing Morrowind ? this forum will be empty :( I never played this Morowind but ive seen pics and first thing i see is really bad graphics. Now maybe i know nothing bout Morrowind , but Oblivion is the best game ive ever played and ill never give that up. NEVER ! ;D
Tiberiu911
I have to agree. I liked Morrowind's story line so much more than Oblivions. Oblivion did got old for me, but im taking screenshots and editing them with photoshop, wich makes it fun. So il do that until il get bored eventually and start playing again. Dont get me wrong, Oblivion is a great game, but Morrowind had such a longer life for me (and it was vanilla - xbox version :( - )
CJD
im not bored with Oblivion, and if the mods come out at such a steady pace, i never will.
Peregrine
I'm surprised it took you this long... I was bored of Oblivion the day after I got it. I have no interest in playing mediocre xbox rpgs.
sleaaels
XBox, figures. You should get the pc version, it has a longer lifespan.
