Area9268
Fallout wont start when I hit play. I also tried starting it using the Mod Manager. It started a couple hours ago while I was burning a cd.
Cipscis
Have you changed anything since then? If you deactivate all of your mods, does it start? If not, try deleting your *.ini file next to your saves folder (not the one next to your Data folder). If it does, then you are probably missing a master file. Have a look through the mods that you have active and make sure all of the master files listed for them are also active and loaded before them. marabunta5
! That is the exact problem im having... The launcher works though... it started After i started up my computer... ( I did send an Email to Bethesda regarding this as Troubleshooting refer me to them... ) As with my mods (Heh same as yesterday) FOMM and NVSE installed after the problems started though... (to see if launching trough them it would work... ) A masterfile you say? im sure i have the only one i need (the FNV ESM ) seems more could have this problem... EDIT: Deleting the Fallout.INI in the same folder as Save files doesnt have an effect Edited November 10, 2010 by marabunta5
pchefkent
if you were online and steam auto updated the game and you have archive invalidation invalidated nv version your game wont start. its because of the changes to the ini files. the game will not load if you have the archive invalidation bsa set to load before the vanilla ones. theres seems to be a workaround here in the forums. i got it to work by following the guide in one of the threads.
