  1. This happens if you romanced both yen and triss. Afaik there is no way to "fix" this until mbe somone develops a savegame editor. I may be wrong with this but you may be stuck with being alone for that particular play through.
  2. Do you have your backup files in the same location, maybe in different folders. If you do move them entirely out of the witcher 3 game folders. The installer sometimes searches the subfolders. I used to have problems installing mods into the patch0 location until moved my backups out of the game folders. Hope this helps.
  3. Try unpacking the dawnguard bsa using one of the unpacking utilities and place the resulting files in the data folder might help.
  4. I had the 100% ctd when entering fort dawnguard for the first time, look around a bit and found some advice to delete/remove the scripts folder and it worked:). I made a new scripts folder to add some scripts that the mods i use need( the teleport scripts from grizmods teleport mod, the vanilla mannequin scripts fix and the scripts for the 300Armoury book scripts and everything still works...so far. keeping my fingers crossed. well the ctds started to happen again and i removed the scripts folder again and was able to enter fort dawnguard without any problems. so it must have something to do with the scrpts folder. i guess il just have to do without teleports, mannequins that work and the 300 armoury crafting until i finish the dawnguard quests. going back to sleeping tree sanctuary is going to be a pita;( Well it was the mannequin scripts that was incompatible teleportation scripts still seem to work ok.:)
  5. vote no but have an alternative like unlockable teleport stones. if i remember correctly that was in the original game.
  6. If you just want to mod weapon stats, all you have to do is extract the relevant dzip i forget exactly which one it is im not at home atm. Theres a commandline driven tool made for that purpose on the nexus i think and several tutorials for this floating around the net. then open the items folder from your dzip extraction and open the item_stats_steelswords file with a text editor, edit the damage numbers and the effects save and your done. do the same to the item_steelswords file for the number of augment slots.
  7. Also with the KotN dlc it specifically states that u needed the blessing of Talos to finally defeat Umarill the Unfeathered. That same missing blessing was the reason Pelinal Whitestrake was unable to fully defeat Umaril the first time around since without it he could not follow him to the astral plane to kill his soul there. As to whether all this was pointless, im reminded of a quote " Every event is preceeded by prophesy, but without a hero there can be no event". The conflict between the Dovakiin and Alduin was apparently fortold but as to whether it is permanent or not is unknown. Regarding the Thalmor i think its just their intention to remake tamriel to what their ancestors had during the mythic times(i.e without men). and the very first step to the removal of men would be the removal of their god. and to remove a gods power in tamriel is to remove his worship.
  8. I would dl a mod that fixes this issue so fast it would make my pc burst into flames. this is the one issue that makes me not finish the mq with any of my dozen or so chararters. after a certain stage i would simple stop doing the mq.

Rofl this! things i like least( could be things i hate most tho) are the removal of stats, the buggy release( tho that was expected and tolerated), awfull UI, length of faction quests( all of them with the possible exception of the extremely repetitive TG radiant questline), forced choices, not being able to abandon quests that u dont like or are forced to accept. no clearcut good path to follow.

I've been thinking about this question too. i think the next one will be hammerfell, the reintegration of the province back into the empire sort of thing. and the one after that would logically be elesweyr and after that would come the show down with the thalmor./aldmeri dominion. One of my reasons for thinking this way is i remember from somewhere that bethesda said that they will be making a fixed number of elder scrolls games and, i may be wrong, but i remember the number eight being mentioned. Also the first 4 games were relatively close together, At least they were all set during the reign of one emperor. Then they jump forward 200 years to a new era where the obvious theme is the reconstruction/recreation of the empire depending on your point of view. The first 4 games were about the preservation of the empire IMO. I may be totally of base here but this makes sense to me. just my 2 cents:)
  11. AFAIK the saves folder for morrowind is in the same folder as your exe is in( i.e. the program folder). At least thats where mine is.
  12. Hi i decided to reinstall f03 after several years of not playing and came too the nexus to get the latest versions of the mods that i use. I downloaded fook2 and saw that i would require the dlc improvement kit for it i did some searches and could not find it< found the hotfixes for it( DIK) but not the main files. can anyone point me to where i can get them? Thanks.
  13. so its fook that broke the dino bite? i have the same problem, upon entering, the game lags(black screen) then when i spawn iside, it seems that im in the shelves/walls and all the items are jumbled together. i only have fook, nvse, breeze and type 3 mods installed. tho i have my own mod that adds items from other mods(i.e. combined meshes and textures form several weapon mods). prefer to run with as few esps as possible.
  14. i think i found a new patch bug. upon entering the dino bite the game becomes all funky. you get a radio nv music program but the theres a weird ammo can sound in the background and the cell does not load properly. its like you wind in the walls or shelving. anyone else have this issue? the only thing i did prior to this is install breeses male body replacer.
  15. the only thing i really dont like about the ranger armor is the water bottle back pack(camelbak?) all the rifles i like to use(hunting rifle, hunting shotgun, trail carbine) go straight though them.
  16. if you were online and steam auto updated the game and you have archive invalidation invalidated nv version your game wont start. its because of the changes to the ini files. the game will not load if you have the archive invalidation bsa set to load before the vanilla ones. theres seems to be a workaround here in the forums. i got it to work by following the guide in one of the threads.
  17. Hi I noticed some npcs( i,e orris and one of the vangraff ppl) not have ammo in there guns. I noticed because when i was on the quest g.i. blues, orris just stood there instead of pretending to shoot the thugs and when i shot the one of the thugs he immediately reloaded. Also when i first entered the silver rush the guy that was supposed to execute the prisoner(or whatever the guy in undies was just stood there) anyone else have these issues? and know how to resolve them? the one from g.i blues is fairly easy but the vangraff one can be a quest breaker.
  18. The path is the data structure of the meshes and textures of the mod. Go to the data directory(its in your steam/steamapps/common/fallout new vegas/data folder) and check if the files are in the correct location. Helps a lot if you have the geck to check what path the mod uses. In using mods for any bethesda game i suggest a basic knowledge of how the construction set works if only for this purpose. nvmm is an excellent tool to manage mods. you can download it in here in nexus its under utilities i think
  19. i also have a bug with this quest. but it starts with orrick when he get to the part where he shoots some thugs he just stands there and does nothing. i think i found out what was causing this particular bug, when i gunned dwon one of the thugs he immediately went hostile and reloaded. He may not have had ammo in his gun to start with.

  21. There's a thread about this i think the title is WHAT THE HELL!!!, It has to do with the face gen flags getting blanked out when you make or duplicate hats and glasses. n such. The fix is in the tread i mentioned. Hope this helps
  22. yeah i think the gecks are specific to the games(i.e. new vegas geck looks for new vegas esm and esp). have to have the geck in the steam/steamapps/common/falloutnewvegas folder. Same place as the exe. Drove me nuts too untill i fugured i was downloading the wrong geck. When i did dl the right geck and place it in the steam folder it launched with no issues( just made a shortcut).
  23. You need to have a grand soul(easiest is golden saint) which i think has a soul value of 400 to make constant effect items. When you have that the constant effect will be available in the enchanters menu. There's a comprehensive guide to enchanting and lots of other things in the unauthorized elder scrolls planet wiki.   24. My bad its a mesh format not a texture format. Now i have to learn how to wrap the mesh with the texture... fun.. NOT! What program should i use to do this?
  25. Its in the textures bsa. You need to extract it. Its what im learning to do right now. Im using the FO3 Archive utility.
