CTD When Leaving Lakeview Manor

PROBLEM
My game crashes whenever I leave Lakeview Manor. The game manages to squeeze in an autosave right before it crashes, which is the save I use to test where it crashes. I have also used a manual save to test the location of the crash. I've researched several things, from save bloat to mods spawning something that is missing a file. I couldn't find any solutions and decided to contact the kind souls of the community.

 

PC SPECS

-desktop

-card: zotac GTX 970, 4GB VRAM

-processor: Intel Core i5-3570 CPU @ 3.40GHz

-RAM: 16GB

-Hard drive free space: 1.19 TB free of 1.81 TB

-game located in c:\games\steam\steamapps\common\skyrim

-Skyrim V1.9.32.0.8, all official DLCs

-SKSE (Skyrim Script Extender) V1.7.1

Thanks for the reply vlaka! =D

1. Disabling auto-save ASAP.

2. I have run my load order through TES V edit. I'm not sure what to make of the information, but it is able to finish the loading process. I can relate the log info, if necessary.

3. I've checked for compatibility patches, and from what I've found, I believe I have what I need. (I even got the patch for Lich King Armor)

 

I was curious if this could be a memory issue. I've used Skyrim Performance Monitor to observe my memory usage in game. In the Lakeview area, it was initially around 2GB with 2k texture mods installed. I uninstalled the 2k texture mods, using the official high resolution DLC texture packs and it's now around 1.5GB.

I apologize for the late response, school and what not.

 

I think, knock on wood, that disabling auto-saves may have done the job. I was able to enter and leave Lakeview Manor, and I didn't get any CTDs after playing for an hour and a half.

Enabling autosaves=noob mistake, I reckon?

I think it's funny that the actual fix itself, disabling autosave in the game menu, took less work than posting for help. Not that I'm ungrateful! :pinch: This is the first time I've turned directly to the community for help.

 

10/10, would do again. :laugh:
