ReachVoltage
So I just start playing fallout on computer and I've never used mods before, could someone please explain how I can get the mod I want to work or what I have to download first. Because I downloaded a mod but I don't know what to do next...

pretzdothack
The best thing to do is to use a mod manager. Instructions on how to use that, should be there. http://newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=36901 The long and short of how to the entire thing it is this. Download your mods. If you have a win7 computer go to your: Program Files(x86 for you x64 users)>Steam>steamapps>common>fallout new vegas>Data And install/unzip/unrar the mods there. Some(most) mods require an overwrite so do that if prompted. Backing up your vanilla data folder is always recommended. Also, some mods are incompatible with other mods. You'll just have to look into those ones. They usually say it in the comments or description. After you do that you have to mod your default.ini file in your fallout new vegas folder. Once you get to this point follow my guide I wrote to help with the new load order. This makes sure your mods/re-textures will work with the new patches. http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/261613-patch-broke-your-texturesmods/ Then just boot up the Mod Manager, and go. FNV is dependent on load order just like FO3 was. So, if a mod crashes the game try a different load order. The New Vegas.esm file always needs to be first, followed by whatever pre-order pack you got (if you got one that is) then any mods. A good tip is that .esm files need to load before .esp files. Good luck~
