JuJooGuppy
Alright, I apologize if this has been covered, I looked but I didnt find what I was looking for specificly, so here it goes... Very new to this, I haven't done any mod work in some time so I apologize as this is probably a really easy question.. I DL'ed a mod, works fine its a weapons pack addon, but I noticed right away some weapons needed stat adjustments. So, in GECK, I opened up the files(lets call it weapons1) which is a .esm file and set to Master File, which relies on FalloutNV.esm which I understand that.. I made the changes I wanted, and clicked save, which prompts me to make a new file as a .esp plugin. I saved it (MyEdits.esp) and tried the game, but alas my changes had no effect whatsoever. Am I doing something wrong here? Is there a way to save the changes directly to the original .esm file? Thanks a lot in advance.
JuJooGuppy
Well, damn, shame on me.. I didn't think about the fact I was using the NVMM, and it didnt automaticly activate the mod... Hah, I got my plugin to work. Though, I am cruious, how do I make changes and save them directly to the .esm instead of making a plugin? I knew it was a dumb thing going on, thanks in advance. Aragron
You can't save directly to an esm file, but you can edit the esm with FONV Edit: http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=34703 ,search for some tutorials about joining/merging two plug-ins.
