Is there a PoV command? POINT of View?

I know there's an FOV command for Field of View which I use for wide screen, but I'm wondering if there is one for POV, Point of View?

When you play with a mouse and keyboard you can zoom your camera in and out with the mouse wheel. However, when you play with a controller, you only have two preset POV's (third and first person) that you can toggle when pressing down on the Right Stick button. It's rather annoying especially when the camera is so close to your character in third person mode. It only zooms out a little bit when drawing weapons, but back to the close POV when sheathed.

Anyway, I use a controller and I have been searching around for a POV command and haven't found one. I've tried just entering/guessing some commands (such as: pov [number]) that might change the POV. Failed.

The only thing I'm able to do is turn off or unplug my controller during game play, then use the mouse to zoom my POV out a bit and the turn on/plug back in my controller. BUT that doesn't always work. Sometimes the game won't recognize the controller being present again and I have to save my game with mouse/keyboard and reload it to use the controller again. It DOES save the POV upon saving and reloading BUT when I use the Right Stick button to zoom into first person and back out again; sometimes the POV resets back to the default POV for controllers and I have to do that whole process over again.

It's annoying and I'm just hoping someone knows of a POV command or a way to zoom the camera in and out like with the mouse wheel button, but with a controller.

EDIT: Before anyone tells me to try one of the Xbox Controller mods, I do not use an Xbox controller. I use the Logitech F710 and the setup/controls are different. Don't get me wrong, I am attempting to see what I can do with those Xbox mods... though they don't seem to be helping.

:( Those camera values I added to my .ini file didn't work even after adjusting them. I was really hoping it would. I was looking in my .ini files before to see if there was anything there for the camera, but there wasn't. Unfortunately, adding camera values/codes didn't work either. /sadpanda.

So... disregard what I said in my last post. Apparently with MO, I need to edit the Skyrim and Skyrimprefs ini's from the Tools. I didn't notice that before. I've always been editing my ini's directly from docs/mygames/skyrim and wondered why I really didn't notice a change with some values I'd edit. I copied and pasted my ini's info from the docs file into the ini's from MO's Tools (MO's ini's were vanilla default). Now I notice the change in my camera. I still have to adjust it though because it's currently in a strange position.

So for anyone wondering about setting your camera differently in Skyrim, the above link from vlaka does work. HOWEVER, the fOverShouldAddY does NOT work. It is not a code value that can be set. You can put any number value you want on that line and it will never change anything. If you're using a controller like me and want your camera further back from your player so it's not so close, you must change the minimum distant in which your camera can be set from your player; which is not listed on the above link. The minimum and maximum code values are as follows:

fVanityModeMinDist

fVanityModeMaxDist

I believe the default minimum value is 155, so set it higher than that; such as fVanityModeMinDist=200. Or higher for a further distant back if you wish. You do not need to set the maximum distant with a controller. You can leave that line out of the skyrim.ini file. Or just write it like this: //fVanityModeMinDist, so it won't be implement. This will cause the camera to be pushed back from your player and not let it get any closer than the value you set. Works with zooming as well. If you zoom out and back in, the camera will stop at the distance you set the MinDist value to and not be allowed to get any closer to your player.

If you want different angles throughout the game, try this mod: Customizable Camera. It's also where I found the other code values from to fix my camera properly as I want it in game with a controller, but without having to use/add a mod.

I'm posting an updated to this because... ROFL, you CAN zoom your camera even when using a controller. The reason after all this time (almost 1500 hours of Skyrim game play) I did not know this is because I initially went into the Menu's Control options. The options for zooming while using a controller was not there. So I thought you couldn't zoom. There's only an option for Toggle POV. This just toggles the camera from two points; 3rd and 1st person.

When NOT using a controller and using a mouse and keyboard, there IS an option for zoom. Since that option doesn't exist in the menu while using a controller, is why, after all this time, I thought you couldn't zoom with a controller. But you most certainly can.

For me, I have to HOLD DOWN the RS (Right Stick) and push the LS (Left Stick) up or down for zooming.

Hopefully this thread one day helps that one or two other people that might come across this issue. Lol? :/
