FOMM and ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated problems

Hi well im having problems with fomm and ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated. For fomm when i try to open it, it says

Error

Could not find fallout 3 directory

Fallout's registry entry appear to be missing or incorrect. Install fomm into fallout's base directory instead.

I have no clue what that means but i think it means to install it to fallout's data folder but i think im wrong.

And for ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated i try to run it and it says

ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated!: Error

Cannot find FALLOUT.INI, please select the FALLOUT.INI located in your My Documents folder.

I dont know what that means so if anyone can help please do.

For the FOMM problem you have to install it to the base fallout directory (where fallout.exe is located) it should create a new folder called fomm and contain its files. Your fallout 3 base directory should have Fallout.exe, falloutlauncher.exe, the data folder, Geck.exe (if installed), the dll's, etc., and now the fomm folder

Archive invalidation is implemented into FOMM I believe. there should be a button in the main fomm window that says "toggle invalidation" for you to enable it. Otherwise, your problem is from not having fallout.ini in (your documents)/My Games/Fallout 3 folder. You should have it if you have ran fallout 3 at lease once

Hope this helps

Hey, I've been having the same FOMM problem and I did everything Lemmings said but for some reason I get the same error message and it won't work. I'm really confused because I used to use it all the time before New Vegas came out and now that I've played New Vegas I decided to install Fallout 3 again but FOMM refuses to work. Please help?

The error message I'm getting is

"Unable to get write permissions for fallout's installation directory.

Please read the 'Readme - fomm.txt' file found in the fomm subfolder of your FOMM installation."

If you've got Windows Vista or 7: Did you turn off UAC?
