FrogDemon Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 I have noticed that ALL the updates are dependent on it also. My questions are as follows: There are a lot of people who are not running Steam to play this, is there another outlet to get updates for us? Also, is it possible to block NVSE from requiring the latest update to run? If not, then I and others will have to stop using NVSE.

Delusibeta Posted November 12, 2010 Posted November 12, 2010 Or you can, y'know, start up the Steam client while it's online. Unless there's something I've missed, or if you're using a cracked version (in which case: hard cheese).
FrogDemon Posted November 12, 2010 Author Posted November 12, 2010 I'm not using a cracked version, I agree with you there, if I was then tough crap! Anyways, Steam doesn't work for me at all. I get Steam errors constantly and when it does actually load, it immediately crashes. As for using an older version of NVSE, NV will not run with an older version. Well, it will, but I get continuous pop ups saying I have to upgrade it. Kind of gets annoying.
gsmanners Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 I just did a Google search and... Let's just say that within 3 pages you get a pretty good idea what the lay of the land is on this issue.
FrogDemon Posted November 13, 2010 Author Posted November 13, 2010 Yeah, I found the same crap. I re-installed Steam and had to re-install NV aftwards and now I have new issues, which I have already posted about here: http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/262878-pre-order-bonus-traits
