Hello there everyone!

 

i have been searching google, all fallout sites both official and not official and still cant find a guide or tutorial that can explain to me how to create my own companions. I know how to alter a weapon or armor by using the GECK, but have no idea how to make my own companions or if this is even doable. I searched NewVegasNexus only to find that ppl have altered the exsisting companions and not made a "new" companion. But in a lot of pictures regarding several body mods i see a lot of NPC's that i dont see in game.

 

So i am asking if this is doable, are there anyway to simply make a new companion and if so, what do i do? what programs do i use and how do i use them correctly?

The quest VNPCFollowers controls the scripts for the companions. You also need to make FollowDefault, FollowLONG, FollowWait and a waiting sandbox scipt for your companion. ALso copy a standard scipt from a companion, i.e. Aracde Gannon or veronica and modify it to suit your new NPC. Its not really hard to do as you can "look up" or copy stuff from the existing companions.

oh thats nice. but how do i make a script? or where can it be found if i only need to copy it? do i need to make a model for the companion, and if i do what program must i use and so on? and FollowLong, what program are you using to set these atributes?
