CJD
I like bravil for the lake in the middle and the skooma den! Skooma.......Skooma! Gimme Skooma Bravil is interesting, but doesn't have enuf quests, I found the skooma ppl annoying, killed them all, and sold the skooma. the count's son is an addict too, he was there at the wrong time. City Swimmer was the only NPC I saw try and steal something, and was succesful. Bravil has a lot of Trainers, but in everyting else it's lacking. The house is crap too. :D
Rhydderch Hael
...its weird your an Imperial thief though.Imperials are the most Stealth-oriented of the human races (which isn't saying much, but Speechcraft and Mercantile are considered Stealth skills, after all). The lack of security for Kvatch truly worried my character. The Daedra themselves aren't a problem (the guards at the barrage take care of that), but there's a creature spawn point on the trail leading from the Gold Road up to the camp, and yet another spawn point on the Gold Road itself that is just west of the fork. A wayward traveler (or a panicking Hirtel) can easily draw a timber wolf or mountain lion into the Kvatch camp and wreak a bit of havoc on the unarmed refugees. My most recent character actually took pity on this predicament, bought out the weapons offered by the smith and laid them out beside tents and bedrolls. In the event of an animal attack, hopefully the townsfolk will be savvy enough to reach for these weapons and defend themselves with something better than their fists. Of course, it was only after I secured the defense of the camp that I noticed an Imperial Legion road warden riding his horse straight into the camp. Yes, a Legion patrol made its way into Kvatch. Never noticed this until then, with my most recent character. Bravil is interesting, but doesn't have enuf quests, I found the skooma ppl annoying, killed them all, and sold the skooma. the count's son is an addict too, he was there at the wrong time. ...That's another thing: I've never seen the Count's son. I keep hearing about him from everyone in town, but I do not recall ever seeing the fellow— either in the streets, in the den, or in the castle. SEanfitzey7139
Hmm, Bruma is too "Nordic" for my liking. I usually play as Argonians, Khajiit and Dunmer. I play as them most too it's just a good town for evil charecters and has the only good house costing under 20,

The only interesting quest in Bravil, is the nightmare one, with rewarded me with the one of themost annoyingNPCs EVER!!
Laiane
I actually like Bravil. My character is a thief/assassin, and I like to roleplay her a little bit. She used to be the goody-goody Ranger, but became disillusioned after the Main Quest and has since fallen from grace. Bravil is nice and seedy. I like the fence, and Doyen S'krivva is close by. I prefer the Khajit and the Argonians over the non-beast races, too. I terms of what town I think is most pleasant -- Chorrol, definitely. The Great Oak adds a lot to the atmosphere. Rhydderch Hael
I cast my vote for Anvil on the criteria of favorite atmosphere, and my list above was made with gameplay in mind. In role-playing considerations, Bravil does indeed have its graces. One of my characters role-played the idea that he, being an escaped prisoner in possession of the Amulet of Kings, would be hunted by both the Imperial Legion as well as the Mythic Dawn. As soon as he broke out of the Prison Sewers, he made a beeline for the city of Bravil— the best pace to lose your identity and lay low for a while until things settle down. He stuck to the Bravil region, scraping up enough gold to buy the house there, and I made the conscious decision he would not leave the region until he reached Level 7, after which enough time would pass before he snuck the Amulet over to Weynon Priory. Bravil was the perfect place to start that story— it conveys the atmosphere of despair and fear that follows in the wake of the Emperor's death. If you think about it— stepping away from the corpse of Uriel Septim laying there in a cold, dark dungeon, immediately followed by a journey to idyllic Chorrol, has enough incongruity to jar you out of the somber feeling you may get from the events you just witnessed (then again, the first time I ever played the game resulted in a night journey to Chorrol, which was spooky enough for me). MovingSalad
Grr, I thought that S'krivva, a drug dealer, should not have been in bravil. that town does not loom chady enough to me. Hmm, perhaps a mod could fix that up...I might look into that. "Shady Bravil" Hmm, sounds good. Maybe some day..;)

And folks can even get to name them. ;) On that grace, Weebum-Na goes on and on abouts the rats in Leyawiin, yet you don't ever see any rats in the town. What's with that?
