Obviously you have yet to do the master trainer quest for Speechcraft. Leyawiin has a more run down appearance to me and has a skooma factory outside the gates. The local area is the haunt of robbers and bandits. Definitely the more dangerous town. Not to mention the Count's lovely wife being a torturer! But I don't have a favourite town as such. The village of Bleakers Way is more my style. BTW why do the people of Leyawiin constantly tell me that they thank me for closing the Ob Gate even if Count TERENTIUS doesn't. Count Terentius is in Bravil not Leyawiin?I've seen people in Leyawiin compliment the work of Captain Dion (of Skingrad), and I've heard high praise spoken about Countess Arianna Valga of Chorrol— from the mouth of Arianna Valga of Chorrol. ;) That, and you will occasionally see folks from the Imperial City visiting the towns whose Rumour responses still tally with that of the City, not the locality. I want to see scum on the walls of the houses, dirty clothing, muddy boots, higher crime levels, a corrupt count and protection force, that's what I want to see! Chorrol reminds me of a village near where I live, except instead of a tree they have a pub, and instead of gossip they share drunken fights...Hey, its England what are we if not alchohol fueled loonies? Alot more dammit! All of the towns look like medieval English ones to some degree. I you don'e me saying so, although European architecture looks alike, oak beams just remind me of country villages in my native land. Skingrad of German, or Holland. Cheydinhals purple spires for reason remind me of france, no idea why, they rarely used them. Anvil of some mediteranean or Caribean town, odd. Leyawiin sounds like a welsh name...But the multi coloured houses and wood beams awell as ziggy streets again rings Europe. Could be from anywhere. Bruma is meant to look viking, except it looks more like a 16 century colony in America, with snow and north Europeans added. Bravil is a stereotypical slum town, maybe London or another large mediebal city before they rebuilt. But i am planning to settle down in my Skingrad, where my home is, and just spend most of my time getting my conjuration and Alchemy Skills up.
