Any work-arounds for these quest problems?

I have more than 100 hours of play (I am a real terrain explorer!) and have encountered two problem quests and one conversation problem:

 

1. In the Beyond the Beef quest I can not meet with the agent in the steam room of the Ultra-Luxe hotel because the game usually locks up when I enter the pool area on the way to the steam room. When I actually make it the steam room the game usually locks up before the agent shows up in the room. The one time I was actually able to talk to the agent the game locked up during the gunfire with the assasin. I have tried lowering my video settings and I am using the latest ATI drivers (card is 5870). Does anyone have any ideas on getting this quest completed?

 

2. In the I Put a Spell on You qeust I can not stop the monorail at McCarron from exploding. I tried the suggestion to bypass talking to the officer after leaving the control tower and go directly to the monorail to disarm the bomb. However, when I do that I can not enter the monorail to disarm the bomb - the only option is to ride the monrail to Vegas. BTW I never did hear the traitor talking on the radio in the tower, I just went up the stairs after 30 seconds and he started shooting. Does anyone have a work around for this busted quest?

 

3. The last few times I delivered medical supplies to the female doctor in the Old Fort in Freeside and talked to her I was never given the option to end the conversation. I just continued to get speech topic options with no end this conversation option. Anyone have a solution other than reloading the previous save?

For 1 and 2, use console commands to complete quest.

 

Here's how.

 

setstage ## 100

 

where ## = the quest ID

 

so, for beyond the beef, enter this in console (minus quotes)

"setstage 0010d2c6 100"

 

and for I Put a Spell on You

"setstage 000e790f 100"

 

For being unable to close the chat dialog, try

CAM

or

closeallmenus
