grim9101
I have no idea what to enter in the command prompt window in order to load the cs through obse (Oblivion Script Extender) Anybody whos familiar with this, I'd greatly appreciate your help. AND anybody not familiar, maybe you can help too. This is what I need to do "Open a command prompt window, navigate to your oblivion install folder, and type 'obse_loader -editor.'"Anybody know what I need to enter into the command prompt? Michelene
Hmmm, not sure if this might belong in the modding thread, but:In the command prompt window, you must change directories until you are in the folder which has the oblivionlauncher.exe file (the same one the CS is in if you did the default installs). To change directories, use the CD command: cd \ (press enter)cd c:\program files\bethesda softworks\oblivion (press enter)obse_loader -editor (press enter) Hope that helps
grim9101
After line two I get the error message,"Too many paramaters - files\bethesda." I'm good with the CS, but I don't anything at all about command prompt. So, what am I doing wrong? EDIT: I discovered an alternate way to get what I wanted. I created a shortcut to the obse.exe and added the tag -editor. Now I just hopw v0007 won't kill my game.
GBHis
You can use shortcuts as well :) (Makes it faster to load the CS.) For the real old-schoolers like me (well, I'm not old, but -- anyway!) cd "c:\program files\bethesda softworks\oblivion" (press enter)obse_loader -editor (press enter) Just lazy Miche who forgot quotes. When there is no quotes, the shell understands it as three different parameters == not good.

It always was that little things that gave me trouble. Thanks for your help, GBHis.
