Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I've done that, though Wrye Bash doesn't appear to work when I download and install it. All I seem to be able to do is uninstall it. Otherwise, I still have the same problem; many of the mods still don't appear to run. Does anybody know what else I could try?

Are you sure you have installed wrye python?

Also, are you sure you install you mods correctly? (Probably so)

If your mdos don't appear to work, try to do exactly what the description says the mod should do (fight an enemy while checking for new animations for an animation mod, go to the house another mod added)

Also installing a lot of mods at the same time isn't recommended - the safest way to use and install mods is to read the readme, install, test, happy person, next mod.

I imagine part of the problem would be that I didn't each mod, since I couldn't. My computer at the time couldn't run Oblivion at all well, so while I was waiting until I could upgrade it, I downloaded and installed mods. What would be the easiest way from here? To test each mod individually, with no others active? Or would there be an easier way?

Edit: I've kept a list of the mods, and have uninstalled Oblivion, and am now removing the mods, and I'm going to reinstall Oblivion, then go about this the right way, checking mods as I go. Thanks for the help. And I may need more in the future :P

Edit: Are you sure the updates to your computer will allow it to run the game?

Go here to see if your computer can run the game

http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/

You will find the various game we support

Oblivion listed as 'The Elder Scrolls IV, Oblivion

Fallout3 as Fallout3 PC

Dragon Age listed as Dragon age

Fallout New Vegas as Fallout: New Vegas

Morrowind is not listed, However if you can run Oblivion at all it should run well on your system.

Begin at the beginning and go on till you come to the end; then stop. ~Lewis Carrol, Alice in Wonderland

In this case, the beginning is where you install the game. The best place is NOT the default location (unless you have Win XP) as that allows Vista and Win7 UAC to block mods and other programs.

Recommended: C:\Games\Oblivion

If you need it, Here is a link to my complete uninstall/reinstall procedure located in the articles section of the Nexus

http://www.tesnexus....icle.php?id=240

It allows you to preserve any saves and mods, or remove them completely - your choice.

Now be sure you have the latest patch as it is needed for many mods

Look in the lower left corner when you start the game for your version. The latest patch is v1.2.0146

Go here for patches: http://www.elderscro...tes_patches.htm

Next, OBSE is required for many mods also, Get the latest version here: http://obse.silverlock.org/

And the utility programs, get the latest versions.

BOSS: http://tesnexus.com/...le.php?id=20516

OBMM: http://tesnexus.com/...ile.php?id=2097

Wrye Bash: http://tesnexus.com/...le.php?id=22368

Don't make the noob mistake of installing a mass of mods all at once and expecting them, to just work. The time you think you save will be more than lost in troubleshooting.

Install a few at a time and test - make sure they are working before adding more to the list.

And, a troubleshooting tool for when you have a wacky problem and need to make sure it really is a mod causing it: Bben's Oblivion Revert to Vanilla game
