SageRaintree
I hate shopping centers because of mannequins, I know that one is going to move and I will lose my dignity. The same with dolls, I hated my sisters dolls and watched them very closely. This mod would not permit me to play alone and in the dark. And by the way, I was a marine, I guess if I saw a dummy in the field I would have blasted it to bits. Then been discharged for being a lunatic. hadoumastery
Mannequins. No it's spelled manikins...>_><_< And they would be creepy if they were alive... so i would say make living manikins that are enemies just for the creepy factor, and make them only come out at night. Thephedora
You could figure out how to do the custom races thing and have a secret bunker/town/mall somewhere in the Mojave that would be inhabited by the robotic/cyborg/people preserved in nuke dust non hostiles that go through idle animations day to day that when you speak to them they have the ability to trade equipment with you. setting it up though is another story. Mannequin textures/meshes are hard to work with. And then scripting the day to day animations would be another step, and having somewhere to house all the mannequins would be the next. But it's doable.
TehBuddha
Hm, A Mannequin race? I didnt even think of that, I thought they were going to be implemented as a creature. But yeah, a race would be easier to do, as you can get them to use whatever equipment you want. But yeah, It is definitely doable, like ThePhedora said, just takes a bit o' work is all. Also, Thread Necromancy... Heh. Edited June 24, 2011 by TehBuddha
Riven1978
I also did the whole mannequin inclusion in my Costumes mod only i doubled the amount you can have and actually fixed the wandering issue (last i downloaded savagehearts after the "fix" they still wandered off on me >.<) I haven't ried the ones in the Lucky 38 mod though. Also give the option for the "Skin-Tone" body textures. Oh and btw A Mannikin is an actual word  It is a type of bird that resembles a Finch and a Manikin is what a lot of people call that little CPR/Medical Dummy
Ruadhan2300
probably worth mentioning that I experimentally took the mannequin static and converted it to use a feral Ghoul skeleton and animations.....then made it into a working creature. I haven't done much more than that. but I might if I have any reason to. could be quite interesting to make them scripted so that under normal circumstances they wander an area and hold specific poses (using pose-mods as a basis would probably help) for several hours at a time of gameplay...only breaking pose to go somewhere else periodically and change pose, or if you attack them and turn them enemy. if its possible to script them to not show up on the compass markers, that'd be really good. especially if it made them visible for the markers whenever they move. that'd be great for paranoia :P
