frasil
Ok. You've killed the bad guys, taken over the guilds, and pretty much lived an individualistic and selfish life of adventures ("not that there's anything wrong with it"... ;). So enough of that. The real appeal (for me!) of the Elder Scrolls is the complex cosmology created with it. But even in a complete and coherent universe, it's fun sometimes to look at the details. The little things. Just for kicks. E.g. Are nix-hounds reptilians or more related to insects? (notice the mandibles) Why do Argonians speak of the "warm-bloods"? Are they cold blooded? If they are, how can they possibly sustain such an active life style, only appropiate for mammalian life forms? Etc. This isn't intended (just) for purists. If Bethesda has an "official" explanation for all these things, that's great. I just think it would be fun to apply science to some conundrums. Does anyone feel like sharing? wesaynothin
Now thats closed minded Aconinyx.... I think... The first post got me confused enough. have you ever read the book in Eldafires house? I think it is Racial Geneology or something. It explains a lot about the biology of the main races. And what I want to know is, how do Cliffracers reproduce so fasT????
Marxist ßastard
The Cliffracers have no natural enemies...
Switch
Acinonyx's post deleted... if you're so closed minded about it it's not worth posting :P and well can't have one liners clogging up the thread now can we ;) And good question about the Cliffracers there. I kill so many, they should be extinct! But no, 3 or 4 still manage to bombard me outside Ghostgate. <_<
frasil
What about Alits? How do they stay standing? Seems impossible to support such a huge snout with no tail to act as counter-balance (like the kagouti). Maybe if you push them over, they can't get up? ... Alit tipping???? Switch
Lol! There's a funny idea! Would be cool to push them over and see them waddling there unable to get back up. Someone should make a mod for that! :D Anyways yeah I agree, seems a bit illogical for something that's basically one huge heavy jaw to be held up by two little stumps. :P
frasil
and by the way, how do you think they ..erm.. mate? Must be something like: "Oh, honey, yeah... wait, wait!! watch it!! darn. you tipped me again. Call the crane service." Anyway, Alits don't seem to make much sense alltogether. Kagoutis do, though. I figure they must be warm-blooded, kind of rhinoceros-like. You just can't afford such a sprint (when they charge) on cold-blood!! They'd have to be basking all day.... I wonder what kagoutis eat, at that...
wesaynothin
Well, seeing that they always charge a t you, I'd think you are their preffered food. Vvardenfell is covered in carnivores! I havent seem one hermnivore, besides tame guar.
Daemarian
Scribs don't attack you and neither do Kwama Queens. Though I can see a Kwama Queen being a carnivor because she has all though little annoying leech like Kwama Foragers to feed he because she is too big to get out and eat. wesaynothin
Oh yeah, Scribs... I think the Queen doesnt attack you because she cant move, and that is the only reason. Has anyone noticed that Kwamas are usually just two types of kwamas melded together?
