Useless Theories & Pointless Speculation on MW.

I want to know how corprus affects the body. With Lame Corprus monsters, they seem bloated, but with the stalkers, they are thin. And Yagrum Bargnum is also extremely bloated. He looks like the archive-keeper from Blade.

and while trekking inside the ghostgate, I saw, from a distance, a group of ash monsters turn towards the stronghold Dagoth Ur and start praying. Is this an assault on the Islamic Religion from the ppl at Bethesda? I dont want to start a religios debate here, but it would seem insulting, at least to me, if I was Islamic.

As I've hinted at in the post that Switch has recently obliterated for no reason but to see the expression on my face, the insanity caused by Corprus causes victims to tear, scratch, and bite at their skin in order to lacerate it. The skin eventually gets ripped off as Corprus Weepings and the disease regrows the tissues, making them stronger and larger. In Lame Corpri, the disease has progressed unevenly to the extent that parts of their bodies are significantly larger than the others, making them somewhat less mobile.

You are correct, wesaynothing. The ash slaves, ghouls and other Sixth House members will turn and begin to pray in the direction of Dagoth Ur. However, I do question why you would think this is offensive. There is nothing allegorical about Morrowind, so any correlation to the real world would be entirely fictional.

However, to assuage your fears, Dagoth Ur is incredibly active within the world of Morrowind, and he works for evil ends. Islamic religion holks that Allah is not so active as Dagoth Ur and only works for good ends. On this same point, almost every religious person will kneel to pray at some point.

Secondly, I believe the Alit's eyes are located about a quarter way down the snout, thus making it difficult to see from the other spots on an Alit's head.

For the last time, I didn't delete your post!

Just to remain on topic, why them turning and kneeling to pray would be insulting, like Dream said, I don't know... a number of different religions involve that, and it's just realistic to have them worshipping in that way (it's either that or have them dancing around like a tribe or something :P).

About kneeling in prayer, I think people have been doing it from way before the advent of Islam. Postration is a sign of submission: you are "helpless" before your god. Dagoth Ur must be such a powerful master that his servants bow before him to "appease" him (nice try).

Cliffracers: the eternal dilemma. Where do they come from? Are they birds or reptiles or dinosaurs (i.e. warm-blooded "reptiles") But most of all.... HOW COME THEY DON'T HAVE FEET?!?!?!?! They just have a ventral sail. These things can't perch anywhere! Maybe they coil their tail around a branch or something... but they live in tree-less environments, too.

Their way of attacking is also mysterious. Instead of swooping, they hover above you and lower themselves gradually. The amount of energy required to do this is immense; only hummingbirds and insects can afford such caloric expense. Eagles and other bird of prey have to make passes and hope for success.

I don't have Tribunal. Are there any cliffracers in continental Morrowind? or in Solstheim?

you're forgetting the almost constant ashstorms in the centre of the island, these storms would produce enough wind to let the cliffracers hover wothout expending much energy at all.

My god, i just realised how sad it is that i am trying to explain the physics and aerodynamics of an imaginary species in a bloody computer game. :P

Its not a agame, Its LIFE!!!

I read somewhere (maybe here even) that Cliffracers fought Dragons away from vvardenfell. If they did that, I would assume That they have a lot of energy to stay in the air, and come down gradually.

Also in the concept art, Cliffracers were much larger and had feet, so maybe the game engine just couldn't hold it.

I have noticed that Cliff Racers have a sense of when you in particular are fighting. I don't know how many times I've attacked something and all of the sudden two or three Cliff Racers just materialize out of no where and attack me. They are annoy, but if you kill enough of them you can get a fairly nice price from all their pinions that are 20 drakes dispite the commonness of the Cliff Racer.

Now where have I seen that before?

I'm inclined to think all the creatures of Morrowind are omnivores. Unless there are bugs in the game :D that are too small to see. (The shalk is too tough for most other animals to kill.)

Most of the bigger creatures seem quite happy wandering around Molag Amur where plants are few and far between and hardly capable of sustaining the complex ecosystem of Morrowind. I expect they eat what they can lay their - er - hands??? - on.

Alternatively, while the humanoid races of Morrowind clearly do eat, the player character does not have to. Perhaps there is something sustaining about the atmosphere.
