Audley
Hello Nexus community! I love Fallout: New Vegas. It is my favorite game of all time. And I have spent a lot of time modding it and not playing it. Why? Because my performance is just so incredibly bad. My frames are alright (averaging 40-60) but there is this constant stuttering and jerking that happens as the game loads things. This happens on a completely vanilla game with no texture replacers. I used to play it on my Xbox but ever since I got a gaming computer I have yet to get it going smooth even remotely. Things I have tried: Reinstalled my GPU driversEvery .ini "fix" known to man (including turning off the controller and rumble) The Stutter Remover and FNV 4GB (I have tried with and without)Misc GPU Settings via Control Panel ENBoostReseating my GPUEvery combination of the above I am not expecting my game to be completely flawless in terms of performance, but I expect it to be at least playable. Even indoors I get these horrible jerks that drop my frames from 60 to 30 every ten seconds or so and then it goes back up to 60. The only way for me to get this to not happen is to:Turn my resolution down to 720pTurn AA and AF offTurn my view sliders down to about 4 Turn shadows offTurn Water down to low This is the ONLY way I have found to get the game bearable. But with those settings it's even worse than on my Xbox. I have no idea what's wrong. At first I thought there was something wrong with my GPU, but I ran some tests on some other games and I get no stuttering or jerkiness. I get a solid 60FPS in Bioshock Infinite at Very High and a few other games such as Borderlands 2 and Far Cry 3. I would go back to playing on my Xbox if I hadn't of sold it. I even tried capping my FPS at 30 but that didn't do anything. :\ Any help would be very helpful. Thank you in advance. Computer Specs (dxdiag attached): i5 4670GTX 760 SC8 GB RAM 650 Watt PSU1920x1080p monitorI know the game doesn't run extremely well on anyone's system, but it should run at least OK on mine right?
