Closing the console

I use the Ring of Gods mod to open the console. When I open the spellmaking window, I can't name the spell because everything I type goes into the console. Is there a way to close it, like with a code, without closing the spell menu?

If a user uses Ring of Console, usually it means ~ does not work.

To OP, there's another mod that enables console mode if you're on Vista/7 or having certain device(and you cannot remove it): Change Console Key. Use it instead if you're having problem with ring of console.

To close the console when using the Ring, hit 'Esc' to bring up the menu, then hit Return. You'll now be back into the game.

 

However to make the ~ key work....

 

Start -> Computer -> Properties -> Device Manager -> Human Interface Devices -> Right click the ITECIR Infrared Receiver (EC) and hit 'Disable'.

 

Doing this has no negative effects on the computer, it only makes it to where the ~ key is reactivated for use in full screen games.
