SpiritHanyou
Hi ^_^, i have for a long time wanted to experience the wonder of oblivion with mods and i think now is a good time as the weekend is almost here, so i figured i'd come on here and tell you all my preferences and what i am looking for and hopefully you all can help narrow down a good combination of mods for me. What i would like for my oblivion experience. - enchanced graphics(not performance hits)- enchanced npcs, ai, etc. (a more lively and dynamic world)- big variety of enemies- Companions (all sorts, even animals)- natural weather, environments, etc.- more armors, weapons, etc. etc. (im sure that has it's own list of mods haha)- Beautiful looking npcs (replacement npc comes to mind)- overhauls that are compatible without necessarily FCOM (i know fcom is godly but it's a pain to get to work)- Better cities, unique landscapes, etc.- Enchanced lighting, realistic, etc.- optimization (to help with my system specs below) and lastly, if possible, a more japanese/anime style since im a sucker for that stuff :). Im not asking you to do all the work for me, though if u do i don't mind ^_^. Im simply asking for suggested combinations of mods that cater to what i list here. I will check back later, sayounara ^_^. p-s - my pc specs ( the basics)- 256 mb radeonx800xl- pentium D 2.8 dual core- 1 gb ram
bben46
The first place to look is the top 100 lists. Most of what you want will be there. To find the mods that aren't there, look in the 'Browse Categories' section. But first, get the game up and running on your computer and try it out. Your computer specs are not very impressive and Oblivion is a resource hog. You may have to run on low resolution.Go here to see if your computer can run the game, and how well.http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/ You will find the various game we support Oblivion listed as 'The Elder Scrolls IV, OblivionFallout3 as Fallout3 PC Dragon Age listed as Dragon age Fallout New Vegas as Fallout: New VegasMorrowind is not listed, However if you can run Oblivion at all it should run well on your system. Actually Oblivion is full green on that website and no, my specs allow for mostly high settings, as long as i do not use any graphic mods that have a major performance hit on them. Secondly, thank you for the top 100, i will have a look. Thirdly, since FCOM= a pain in the arse to run, would u recommend that i just take one of the overhauls or 2 that work together, and add the remainder with small mods and stuff that matches what i prefer above. I think that is enough of an overhaul, FCOM seems a bit overkill. Also while i appreciate the top 100 list, with my original post's preferenes, can anyone here give me a list of mods, so that i can get them all downloaded with the utilities and have them ready to go when oblivion is ready to go? Here's what i know i'll already have - One of the overhauls (ooo or fran, mb mmm)- Natural Environments or All Natural- Tamriel Travellers, Beautiful People, etc.- Deadly Reflex, and the other one that changes combat- more npc mods, more items, armor, weapons- Monster mods, More lands- Better Cities- Custom Races, Different Animations- Anime style Characters, Npcs That is just a few, i still need to complete that list :). So if u could please give me a good list that matches this and my original OP post, that would be much appreciated.
SpiritHanyou
I've decided to use TCOM, i think that is more than a great start. And from there i will add mods as i go. Anyone here have TCOM, the compilation? If so how is it?

majikmonkee
I would love to make some suggestions but a lot of what I meant to suggest you stated you are plannimg to use already. The companions I use mostly came as "rewards" from quest mods. My only suggestion is if you don't have the mod that adds the Desert of Elsweyr, you absolutely need it. I use BAB to give my NPCs better looking bodies without nudity, but I don't know if that would conflict with a mod to. Give NPCs an anime appearance.
